Ireland's massive performance has not opnly opened the eyes of the other teams who had planned to experiment with their composition but also that of the ICC regarding the future world cups and the teams participating. The Indians should put on not one but few thinking caps regarding the strategies and also the team composition.I also feel there should be some surprises in their approach and take Ireland by surprise. In view of the top order getting into form I feel 5 bowlers should be playing with three seamers and two spinners(Zaheer,Nehra,Sreesanth,Piyush & Ashwin).yusuf may not be needed for this as well as the next match against the Dutch. These two matches will give opportunity for Nehra and Sreeanth to get into the rhytm and see how Aswin will perform on a big platform.Bhajji will get some rest and will keep him on the toes and may make him more competitive for more important matches against the WI & South Africa.Yusuf's role as a bowler is rather limited on batting tracts as he doesn't have variations. He'll get back into the team depnding on the team composition, the opposition and also the venue.Or else play 3 spinners and two seamers and use Virat as a surprise 3rd seamer for few overs during the bowling power play and just to take pace of the ball.He can bowl a bit in the practice sessions over the next 2 days.
Bring Mehra, Srisanth and Ashvin in and be reasonably confident to win the match. If India bats first , should score atleast 375 runs as no target seems to be sahe. Ashvin would take wickets.
