IRELAND STUN ENGLAND

The World Cup 2011 which began on the 19th of February 2011 is into its 12th day on the 2nd of March 2011.
There were quite a few nail biting, thrilling, exciting and interesting matches all these days with some as dull ones as a ditchwater.
The opening match between Bangladesh and India was of the first category with Bangladesh valiantly chasing the Indian target and threatening to reach the target. However, the Indian bowlers were able to contain the run chase and won the opening match. Similarly the matches between England and Netherlands on 22/2, Sri Lanka and Pakistan on 26/2, India and England on 27/2 were some of the matches providing some exciting moments of cricket.
However, the match between England and Ireland on the 2nd of March 2011, was the best cricket this World Cup has so far seen (may be likely to see in future). The English team batting first looked like they will cross the 350 run mark against the minnows Ireland, but good marks to Ireland to restrict England to a score well below 350. Watching the Ireland game, it looked a boring match until Kevin Obrien came and started swinging his bat. Ireland were 106 with four wickets down and Kevin came with about 28 overs remaining and 222 runs to be scored, a target any good team would buckle under. Kevin started hitting a couple of good shots and let me tell you that these were not “lucky” shots but truly calculated risky shots. It was then the runs started flowing and

It was then the runs started flowing and Andrew Strauss and his mates could not handle the pressure. Kevin struck six sixes one being the longest that has been struck so far in this tournament – about 102 meters distance. By the time Kevin’s innings came to an end, he had already created a record of fastest century in the World Cup – 100 from 50 balls. Kevin was run out and his scores read 113 in 63 balls, and already created the greatest of upset this World Cup.
The England who would have been under the impression of an easy course to victory, were shell shocked.
The most PAISA VASOOL match so far in this tournament.

Batting is also a part of cricket buddy!! Agreed that matches will be more interesting if bowlers have something in it as well. But since both teams play on the same pitch, IMO, it is fair.

Your username suggests that you can only associate yourself to fixing. Bloody useless bugger! even a toddler would know that it takes some talent to dispose the 'length' deliveries. So instead of ridiculing the brave Irish team start brushing up your cricketing knowledge.
