Laxman was robbed of a certain century by the howler of a decision by that Paki umpire Asad Rauf who gave Suresh Raina caught off the thigh pad. Thereafter the Indian innings went into a swift decline & Lax fell trying to up the ante & gather as many runs as possible. Otherwise Raina & Lax were pretty comfortable & never looked like getting out. They would surely have gotten to their hundreds both of them & taken India past 300. Poor umpiring decision by that Paki. Don't know why he isn't getting any flak for this howler.

vvs laxman can score 100 this second innings also because he is very very special for example against australia 2001 at kolkatta he made 59 in india's 157 and 281 in special second innings mirracle of battting. 2 days left for this 2nd test so 90 x 2 =180 overs maximum so ICC & BCCI along with west indies board must start the game 2 hours prior to scheduled time to recover the lost time due to rain so that match will not end boaring draw. 2 hours extra today will give 30 overs more and 30 overs more tomorrow so 180 plus 60 240 overs are sufficient to bat for two teams two innings so best of luck to vvs laxman we all indians watch him on tv or 100.7 MHZ frequency modulation radio channel
Looks like VVS and a lot of Rediff readers feel that 100 runs are more important than playing the inning for the team. Laxman played a great innings (85) and anchored the team leading to a respectable total (201). i would rate this inning higher than many of his 100s in the past. So why this hang-up about making hundreds? Individual statistics should be scondary to playing for the team .. afterall cricket is a team sprot. Right?

the press conference video showed something else.. what he said was had he got his 100 the team would have got close to 250 and rediff decided to highlight it in a different way... he was, is n will always be a team man..

Read what Ravi Rampayl said..."The pitch became good for batting after lunch. The bowlers were getting no swing. It would only get better for batting from now on."
Rampaul revealed that he tries to be aggressive against younger Indian players and uses short-pitched deliveries more often.
"When I see a batsman coming on front foot, I bowl short to push him back. We know Indians don't like short ball so we try to use it more often.
"I try to be aggressive against the openers for they are young. However, it's not by trying to bowl faster; I just want to keep it tight for them."
always who bats up the order faces music best of the players are generally sent there.
