UDRS

The UDRS as used in the World Cup was without the Hot Spot and Snickometer technologies, only Hawkeye was used. So, it was incomplete and lots of scope of human error were still there, as we saw it happen. Hawkeye is unreliable especially for pitches with variable bounce, like the one at Sabina Park.

Use of all three techniques require a lot of money per day.

For five days of a test-match the cost becomes prohibitive. Who will bear the expenses? The ICC, the Organisers or the Broadcasters?

This is the crux of the matter that the ICC is unable to solve so far. It is not BCCI's muscles, but the practical difficulties are preventing the ICC to implement the UDRS world over.

So, don't blame the BCCI or the Indian playes if they don't wholeheartedly welcome the present version of UDRS.

But it's not an issue with the BCCI alone.

These Indians were part of the 22 member crew, including four Pakistanis, a Sri Lankan and 11 Egyptians, who were freed last week after ransom was paid to the Somali pirates.

Pakistan's minority leader and social activist Ansar Burney has facilitated the release of the sailors by generating money on Pak soil for releasing Indian sailors too, whereas the Indian Govt did nothing at all to save its own people.

Besides, there was no Govt representative to receive them at airport whereas the Pak Govt did everything possible to get them home.

Kudos to Pak.

Then why the hell is Dhoni afraid of UDRS? It might not be 100% accurate but its still better than glaring human errors. Where's the common sense in not accepting it?

This team wants to intimidate umpires, like in this case after this criticism, Harper will be ultra defensive in giving Indian batsmen out in the next test. Intimidation can work on humans not on UDRS. Thus no need for this tech.

Yeah, you surely have a point. But I am not sure if it has worked in the past. Take the case of Steve Bucknor.........

Only one reason UDRS is opposed.. so that BCCI can easily fix the matches... all that talk of snickometer etc are foolish talks just to divert from the main attention of FIXING

Mr. Dhoni. You cant bake the cake and eat it too. The cowardice of BCCI is clearly reflecting in your statement. And what right do you have to creep now and complain about Empiring? Be a sport or else stop paying the game.
