yes that's why i was happy when his name was announced for test squad. i knew his first class performances from the first. so i was always felt for him that too many people looked upon his as a specialist odi bowler...
i had said to sameer that i think that praveen could also be successful in tets. but he is so obssessed with ''express speed'' fast bowlers. i had written to him that he would get a (un)pleasant surprise from praveen in this test and that is exactly what happened...

i don't trust Anurag rathore data anymore. Few days back he wrote dhoni scored 7 centuries in test. It was again a lie. I checked the data & found Dhoni has scored only 4 test centuries till now & not a single overseas century ven after playing 6 yrs & so many overseas series. Even bowling batsman like agarkar/kumble etc batting at no.9 has scored century in engalnd against good bowling attack. Even bhajji/mishra can bat better than dhoni in oversesas test. Dhoni is simply a flat track bulley & manipulator who knows how to keep his captaincy intact by hook or crook

like i said so often even in his debut odi series he won for us the triseries odi cup and was MOM in the 2nd of the best of 3 finals...
i think many people are even ignorant how good he is as a odi bowler and how efffective. people will be surprised to know that in the 52 odis that he has played india has won 35 and lost only 15. and out of these 52 odis he has played 46 under dhoni....
Dear Praveen Kumar, its not your fault, if you play whole year you wont know for which match you are playing whether its T20 or IPL or one dayers or Test. Good your job is just to take runup and bowl. Dnt think which match you are playing...

politicain dhoni always keep few player like that to prove that he is atleast better than some one. Unfortunately even vijay is far superior to dhobiji. he will try his best to not allow patel to play as he is a wicketkeeper batsman & threat to his position

Dravid is out of form from long time. It's better to give chance to a youngster.

now u can undersatand political nature of Anurag rathore. Thats why he is fan of dhobiji. he will drop dravid from test but not dhobiji who has never performed in any overseas test & start dancing on pitch seeing quality bowling & bouncy pitch

I would still keep Dravid in place of Kohli, especially for a series in England. Kohli isnt yet polished enough to play tough test matches. Though hes a sure-shot replacement when Dravid retires. And secondly, Raina needs to be in the 15 too, maybe in place of Rahane. :)

How can you say Dravid is not in form. I think because of IPL ,he improved on strike rate aswell.Now he suites of all formats

In last 12 tests his batting average is just 39.83. He played 21 innings and scored 50 plus runs only 3 times.

Dear Anurag, 39.83 (when out of form, as you are saying) is still a good average. I would always prefer Dravid & Pujara both in test playing XI instead of Kohli & Yuvraj. Rests are fine..

The problem is he got lifes in his few innings. His stamina doesn't match his peak days. He can't play big innings now which is essential for a number 3 batsman.

Even a half fit Dravid is better than somebody like Kohli, Yuvraj, Raina etc... (in tests only)

Somehow, you are right.. Still Dravid is far far better batsman than some of our youngsters like Kohli, Yuvi or Raina in test matches, especially against fast & swing bowling attack of England.

Anurag doesn't want some one to score fifty or 100 or maintain avg of 40. he prefer great test batsman like dhobiji who can score 0,8,13,15 etc with overseas test avg less than 30, no century or match winning inning. Every one can undersatnd political nature & baised view of all dho-bighat upporters

no overseas test century & No T-20 intnl fifty even after playing for 6 yrs
people forget that kapil didnt have that much pace as imran, hadlee, willis, lillee,thomo, robers, holding but still he was the highest wicket taker in the world at one time. praveen can be developed as very good test bowler as well. He has the ability to swing both ways. Its alway difficult to face a medium paced swing bowler than express pace. One has to adjust the batting technique to wait for the ball and see till very last moment which is very difficult to do if you are batsman. There is a doubt in the batsman mind always facing a swing bowler who swings the ball in air rather than depending on seam. I wish praveen best of luck for his test career. I think zak, Praveen, Ishant will be very good combination under england condition. If you have to consider 4th pacer for england i would choose RP Singh ahead of Sreesanth simply because RP was a major contributor in our series win in england last time. That experience would really come handy if we get back RP into the squad for England.
