If you look at the groupings in Hawkeye for Praveen Kumar, he is deadly accurate and right on spot. This is the accuracy required when playing international cricket without pace.
Jaidev played in the first test in SA and was bowling at 124kph. The rigors of international cricket can be imposing and playing top teams like SA can be a nightmare if wickets are not taken.
There are quite a few young Test prospects lined up:
1. Yadav & Varun: Bowl consistently at 144kph 2. Dinda, Pankaj Singh : have swing and bounce
RP Singh and Pathan are waiting in the wings and Pathan has improved and could be revived

YAAHHH IF U DONT HAVE CAPACITY TO 145 AT LEAST...DONT THINK UR SELF AS FAST BOWLER....
He was inducted much ahead of his time & failed miserably.It shows how our selectors are influenced by strong board functionaries which in this case was Niranjan Shah.He lacks the physic of a fast bowler & will fae more like Macgrath dummy Salvi who was kicked out of ground by Saurav as he could not even deliver the bowl next to batsman.
