MUNAF HAS STAGNATED AND IS NOT FIT FOR TESTS
by damodaran mohan on Jun 20, 2011 01:24 PM  | Hide replies

Selecting Munaf for TESTS is wrong and short sighted policy.Munaf has stagnated long time back in fact within two yrs of his breaking into international cricket. He is not evolving as a pacer and has nothing new to offer in the form of any new variations since long back and as such is fit only for T20 or at best for One dayers in case others not available.Given this limitation besides his injury proneness it is always better for selectors to blood youngsters in place of Munaf with long term perspective in mind.Zaheer is also aging. Two to three young fast bowlers who were playing in IPL-4 for RCB,KKR,DD etc. had bolwled well and looked promising. Why not blood those youngsters instead.
