I think one of the reasons is weather condition since the tournament will be during Sept - Oct.

mr.. wonder foool its because there is a tradition to host the final at defending champions home ground in IPL and Champions League T20

the rule states that the winner of the previous edition gets the right to host the final of the subsequent edition...

overdoese of T-20 cricket. ICC should realise it.Impact is ofcourse on young generation, people want to play only T-20/IPL/SLPL etc, quality of cricket is gradually reducing which we can see in Indian Test team--Dravid/Laxman/Sachin is in their last phase of cricket now who is going to replace them???a big question-lot of experiment had done-but still no one came out--this is negative effect of too much T-20

Right. I wonder what will be India's test ranking once Sachin, Dravid & Laxman retire....We have no quality replacements for them.
I think Sachin and Dhoni will play in CLT20 and wil take rest from the next international series coming just after this event, may it be against Australia, SA etc...
