India is no.1 only in test as gteat senior like sachin, dehwag, dravid, laxman, kumble, zaheer, ganguly etc has played consistent cricket for last 10 yrs. In ODI india is still no.2. in T-20 India is ranked 6th out of 8 due to 1st round exit in two consecutive wcups.
