Comparison

Such comparison at an early stage of career can be harmful to any new cricketer. Any way Garner was Garner , No body can ever bowl unplayble deliveries as he could bowl.

You are right, Joel 'BIG BIRD' Garner was one of a kind, unique bowler who then bowled to some of the greatest batters of all times like Chappell brothers, Ian and Greg, Sunny Gavaskar, David Gower, Allan Lamb, Graham Gooch, Allan Border, Zaheer Abbas, Majid Khan, Miandad, Jimmy Amarnath, etc. He was not quick like Holding or Marshall or Roberts, but was clever and intelligent, who bowled the right balls and was virtually unplayable on his day.His later tall man bowler kind Curtly Ambrose was even more deadly.
