On the other side we have a person named Yusuf Pathan in our team who has scored 780 runs in 55 ODIs that he has played and still some people, including the five wisemen (?), feel that he is competent enough to don India,s colour. Absolutely useless fellow.. Should be dumped immediately and shd never be recalled again.
it is great to see tamils all around they r the best. it was krish srikant who showed the world how to bat in first 15 overs. i rate him above sachin and sehwag as the best opening batsman they r all bachas in front of him. the present ideal team should be Murali Vijay Mukund(the best opening pair in india rt now) Dinesh kartick Badrinath anirudhh srikant(he is our pride as was his father) R satish(even sachin respects his skills) S raina Dhoni(capt)(since they are loyal to us they can be continued) Ashwin Yo Mahesh S Jakati L balaji this should be indian team in all formats of the game. there shold be no one from bangalore, mumbai and delhi as they have been given enough chances

Instead for Raina we can take Sadagopan Ramesh and for Jadki we can replace Vishal (tamil actor cum crickter).
It has taken Rohit 50 Odis and he was never meant for ODIs.
After winning the first 3 ODIs India ran out of luck and the selection policies have surfaced again. The selection blunder of Chawla and Sreesanth was corrected by re-introducing Mishra and to some -extent Ishant.
Manoj Tiwari was a Test batsmen and having him open in 1-dayers will not only kill his confidence in Tests but expose him in a negative manner. Badrinath is another example of a Test batsmen being tried out in 1-dayers just to expose him to international pressure.
Anand Mukund with a List-A average of 57 and and a strike rate of 82 was ahead of Shikar Dhawan, but Riana and Co choose Shikar first, dropped him and then a unsuitable opener like Manoj Tiwari.
The selectors have not sorted out the ability of players through domestic performances. Another blunder for the WI series was the absence of Rahane who averaged 68 and is the number player suitable for Tests.
I am not impressed with Raina saying everybody should get a chance. Does he mean even the BCCI janitors! One has to see whether a player is suitable for a particular type of format.

then in that case such player should not be selected for ODI squad. If he is selected one should get a chance.

west indies in weak now so it is easy to score for Rohit Sharma.
The time Courtney walsh, Ambrose, Ian bishop & other star bolwers played it was tough to score. Now the weak west indies team any one can score that does not mean Rohit Sharma is great. Even many Bangladeshi Bastman score more thn 100's of runs against west indies.

that might not be so simple to deduce. the great that you mentioned were greats during those times.
one of the studies recently conducted in USA basketball - was that they found low variation amongst players - meaning, everyone was so good these days - that it's hard to stand tall amongst them.
if you see the current fielding, batting - they are far better than the earlier times. also pitch conditions greatly favoured the bowlers those days. give a flat pitch and even mcgrath would cry.
i do respect the old west indian bowlers, but to compare them with current crop is unfair
