bouncy wickets and great wicket keeping by WI
by D S on Jun 14, 2011 11:55 AM  | Hide replies

munaf should not turn into spinner and this is where they R leading Ishant into by messing his run-up and style.

These Indian pace guys should choose how many overs they will do PURE PACE and how many over of slow and mediums pace. BUT SHOULD NOT turn into slow spinners on wrong advise.

3.
INSTEAD OF YUSUF who is out of form, INDIA SHOULD GET 3rd SPECIALIST SPINNER who can hit the ball as well, harbhajan fits the bill.

badrinath, yusuf, tiwari take rest. tiwari can field well.

Ishant is needed by Indian team and should be handled well by BCCI.

Instead of only trusting VIDESHI BOWLING COACH, ISHANT SHOULD WORK HIMSELF on no balls,
take help of some player on WHERE HE NEEDS to put his second-last step before he delivers to avoid no-balls, MEASURE AND mark how many inches that SECOND-LAST STEP IS BEFORE THE CREASE.
He can carry initially inchi-tape and mark place of second last step all the time.

DO NOT FORGET TO DO IT. THIS WAY he can increase his SPEED AND ACCURACY. AND should scrutinize
what VIDESH COACH say, just don`t do if NO GOOD.

ishant, there are special exercise available for your height to increase flexibility such as to increase speed without strain (check Micheal Holding smoothness) and increase accuracy.
Learn from likes of Micheal holding about variations (height, direction, length, swing, etc) in the releasing balls from the likes of Micheal holding. I can classify akram in later days as slow juggler of ball of prabhakar class, not an accurate pacer.

1.
WI wicket-keeper had big role in winning that was missing for india.

we need a taller wicket keeper, Baugh though normal heigh could jump and catch bouncy.

Baugh could catch bouncy ball with one hand while Parthiv missed Ishants bouncy catch ball.
Why DONT INDIA HAVE TRAINED AND BETTER WICKET-KEEPER. AT THE PRACTICE NETS, WE DONT TRAIN TALLER WICKET-KEEPER.
WI PLANNED the wicket-keeper role well. even pollard planned better use of wicket-keeper to
pressure indians.

Everyone can learn from WI keeper how he pressured indians who like to be on front foot by stumping them. WI KEEPER has big contribution in their win by pressuring indian batting. even pollard kept indian batsmen in crease and backfoot so they could not hit big.

...parthiv is too short to catch high and wide balls even if he leaps. parthiv is much
slower as well IN COMPARE TO WI wicket-keeper. Try saha.

also, parthiv`s height makes him difficult for him to keep the ball down when it is bouncy ball.
does not play per his height.

NEED to try the next wicket keeper (saha), nothing to loose

it was not clinical west indies but rather it was hopeless batting by india. it was like tu chal mai aaya kind of thing. For god sake, just kick that yusuf pathan. This guy is just for ipl. Stop investing in him cause he wont perform. 12 runs in 4 matches. RAina as well is not performing due to his technique. But, raina is a far better cricketer than this pathan. He has won us many matches.

India continues to be lucky

India is a talented side but with or without MSD their luck charm still continues as the Series proves- WI has been unlucky with some Umpire decisions otherwise the series would have been close

India expects some more maturity from Raina and Yusuf...
by Anurag Rathore on Jun 14, 2011 11:06 AM  | Hide replies

Irresponsible batting is reason for lose. Westindies didn't win, it's India which lost. I feel India should have stopped Westindies around 210. Raina made some strategical mistake in last 10 overs. When you have Ashwin and P.Kumar like bowlers you should have used them in batting powerplay but Raina used A.Mishra and Ishant in batting powerplay and WI scored 57 runs.
Well, It's very inexperienced & immature batting line up so I am not disappointed and hoping good show from them in next match.

In absence of seniors India expects some more maturyity from Raina and Yusuf.

1.First off all, for which batsman you are talking about. As far as I watched the match no one got out on short ball.
2.The pitch was not bouncy. It's next match where WI will get bouncy track.
