YOUNG BATTERS SHOULD MOLD INTO FAB 4 MOLD
by damodaran mohan on Jun 11, 2011 01:40 PM

Yes, the young Indian side is expected to win the series comfortably. But still the young batters have to do much better than what they are doing now.As Gavaskar has pointed out in his column today, they are still in T20 mode.Actually what is needed is for the youngsters to get into the mold of seniors like the fab four, that is Sachin, Saurav, Dravid and Laxman. They have to inculcate that patience and discipline to make a big score, hit a century etc.Only Virat Kohli among the youngsters appears to be in that mold presently.Rest are getting out in the fiftees, and sixtees making some T20 shots. That needs to change if India is to continue as top Test and One day side.

India&PoornNations MUST Ban Test Cricket,3 Day Crcike
by Harry Trueeman on Jun 11, 2011 01:07 PM  | Hide replies

Shame and anti-national action that we a poor country of 1 billion people are still continuing with playing monotonous and time wasting Tests and 3 day matches, etc, May be Baba Ramdev and Anna Hazare must lauch a national agitation to BAN TEST matches and 3 Day and One Day Cricket Matches FOREVER.It is time india and poor countries ban Test Cricket and 3 day macthes forever and Play ONLY T20 matches so that millions of man or woman hours are NOT lost watching monotonous test crciket and 3 day macthes, etc. BCCI and rulers are still behaving as slaves of Westerners, shame they have appointed white skinned westerners as coach, assisistant coach etc paying millions of dollars though we have excellent indian coaches like jimmy amarnath, madan lal and so maany other who can do better jobs than foreigners. BCCI and government must NOT allow more than 2 foreign players in each team and that will gove greater opportunity to indians as well. What a shame that BCCI and rulers are behaving as slaves of westerners even now or are they getting huge kick-backs in the deals involving forein players, etc, Millions of cricket fans must not allow our country to be looted again by foreigners and goreign business houses any more.Hope millions of indians are listening and that they will take necessary action to give justice to indian public and indian players and national honour and pride too.

A simple solution from me. Stop watching Cricket and you will have no complaints.

West Indies
by Syz on Jun 11, 2011 06:11 AM

West Indies should be banned from international cricket by ICC for poor performance until they improve. They should also be stripped of test playing nation category. It is a joke and waste of time and money to play with this team.

India's huge talent pool
by Ashish Kumar on Jun 10, 2011 11:59 PM  | Hide replies

India is capable of producing at least 2 world class cricket teams. In view of its population India should be given that opportunity.

India should be given statewise cricket team. I will not recommend for gallywise cricket team. Each state has to meet each nation so that younger of the state concerned will be glooming the TV, Advt.amt will mount up, BCCI will become a richest body in the world. Am i right Mr.AK.

Cricket Board- A bunch of Jokers
by satish singh on Jun 10, 2011 05:54 PM

I don't think, why the ego of the Cricket Board become more bigger than national pride. The cricket board, a bunch of non-playing jokers are just burden for the cricket and the country. Ignoring the selection of Chris Gayle in West Indies squad for one day series against India is another example of wrong decision of these jokers.

India......
by Anurag Rathore on Jun 10, 2011 05:50 PM  | Hide replies

I would like to see indian bowlers performance when India will bat first. Can this bowling attack defend a total around 250?

Harbhajan bowling average this year in ODI is above 42. Even Yuvraj has 32 average. R.Ashwin should be definitely first choice in ODI. Ashwin average is around 25 this year.

P.Kumar and I.Sharma needs match practice before test series, so it's better to give chance to Ishant in place of Munaf in last 2 ODI's.

All are thinking that we dont require Sachin or Dhoni or uvi, Westindies are playing with junior players as we are playing, but now Winning will be tough as Gayle and Pollard will play in 3rd one day onwards, so you people will realize missing seniors
