Praveen Fined.
by Ravindra Yadav on Jul 30, 2011 09:04 AM  | Hide replies

Does it not sound bitter that the Britishers even today could not tolerate DISSIDENTS & Arguments based on the TRUTH & FACTS ? The viewers on TV and the Commentators & the Spectators on the field saw it Peterson of England , was LBW.Displays/Coverage of the MOMENTS confirmed that Peterson was LBW but the Umpire- Erasmus , did not accept the TRUTH but against the Fact allowed Peterson to continue Battings. However Praveen Fined for arguments does not sound GOOD.It was against the SPORT spirit and too much for India and Indians.I condemn the decision of Erasmus & ICC.

Plz shut, since last match 2nd innings Eng got two good opportunity, but umpire said no, where you gone that time, S Broad was upset but went silent... Why we are not matured enough like that...

To avoid all those issues only, every country need Review system which only Indians opposed... Understand, now ICC is nothing but BCCI, BCCI is commending ICC nowdays.

Praveen LBW decision not given out.

Decision given in favor of india was too late when fate of match was known. All done to rein in India.

last time as well, Peitersen cheated to score double century by turning a LBW into a catch situation by snicking the ball by the pads and show a bat hit action at the same time. bowden turned LBW into a pad snick that is not out.
And cheating was done using DRS. thus, DRS will eventually favour those who made it whether it is automated or manual.
Favours are given to tendulkar to soften him to support DRS. awards given to Dhoni to soften him as well so indian dont walk out of this series.

A five wicket haul by a bowler is as big an achievement as is a c

A five wicket haul by a bowler is as big an achievement as is a century by a batsman. To do it at Lord's, the so called home of cricket, is even special. There have been few Indian batsmen to score century at Lord's but even the list of Indian bowlers to take 5 wicket haul at Lord's isn't much long..

A total of 61 Indian bowlers had bowled at Lord's till July 2011 and only 11 of them have managed to register their names on honorary boards. The first one was Mohammad Nissar, a right arm seamer, who achieved the feat in very test India played at the venue while the best figures have been by Ladhabhai Nakum Amar Singh (a right arm fast medium bowler) = 6 wickets for just 35 runs, 75 years ago. Bisen Singh Bedi, a left arm spinner, is only other bowler with six wicket in an innings here.

India lost all those three matches!

Interesting is Vinoo Mankand's fiver back in 1952 for which he bowled as many as 73 overs. Not just that, Mankand, a medium pacer, came back to bowl another 24 overs in second innings as England chased their target of 77, from 49.2 overs.

Today, 22 July 2011, Praveen Kumar became the 12th Indian bowler to achieve the feat, bowling marathon spells as Zaheer Khan was unavailable to bowl for hamstring strain.

Why no action against Broad?
by Injun Abhi on Jul 30, 2011 02:57 AM

He was out of line in the first test. Also, why no fuss about Swann comments on Umpiring in the first test?

U gone mad Rediff!! "replays suggested the umpire had got it right" - from which camera? Surely Pit had come a long way but that doesn't really matter ..... he was plumb like a dead dog!! Praveen was right nothing less than 100%. We all heard what he said in hindi to the umpire after that - which was not right though. But you don't mislead others ........

No big news, this happens in Int. cricket, sadly though.
by Rasheed Ahmed on Jul 30, 2011 01:47 AM

We have seen Javed Miandad, screaming and dirty dancing on the pitch, Shahid Afidi, crushing areas o the pitch and banned, so Pravins dissent is a no big deal. He should avoid it though. On the other hand, many people have made it a 24/7 business to post comments rediculing or demoralising India. On one site, as a proud India Fan, I had to post the following message which is selfexplanatory. Thank god Rediff has been fair, but needs to be more pro India, like every other websites. PLS.READ.

I have almost complained Cricinfo that it allows a redicule on India-players , especially Pakistanis, who simply day in and out are condemning and trying to demean India. I think this jealousy is a dirtiest of stigma on inernational cricket and cricinfo cant be oblvious of this trend. Why is it becoming a party to India Bash ? Moderator dept. has been purchased by Pakistanis ? Compare comments before 2010 and it was about real cricket, now whatever the subjecgt India bash takes place. The worst part is that if we Indians respond in kind it is not allowed. C'mon cricinfo, either be sharp in selection of comments or allow us reply. Hope you will have gutts to publish this letter. England is a great tream and India got to highest position for nothing. SORRY CRICINFO, BEFORE I BLAST YOU, YOU BETTER BE FAIR, OF GET LOST.

We should take up th challenge by anti India people who spread their hate of India in international cricket.

I ope rediff dose find this fair.
