Although Presence of Zaheer would have made things easier it is not that India cannot win matches w/o Zaheer.The available remaining Indian bowlers are no ordinary bowlers as they have proved in the past. India have won many important matches w/o Zaheer and in fact T20 WC Final in 2007 was won w/o Zaheer,Sachin,Sehwag and other big names. It is a question of self belief and positive attitude of the playing XI which would help them win rather than keep harping on non-availability of players not in their control. Another important factor would be how Sachin approaches the game because his negative attitude of going into shell in the 2nd innings made it difficult for the Indian side to force a draw. Sachin must play his natural game w/o worrying about his century. If he gets out , so be it, nothing can be done after all it takes all of just one ball to get one out. Even if he contributes 60-70 runs when the team is in difficulty and India goes to win the Test, his 60-70 runs would be more valuable than if he gets a century and the team loses. The media and the experts are also biased in letting off Sachin on flimsy excuses lightly on his pathetic one hr ‘blocking’ spree in the 2nd innings even as they criticize Zaheer. Why this double standards ?

what is a depleted bowling standard? Ans: when bell, morgan or prior makes centuries. What happens if a school cricket team plays against national team? No. 10 batsman hits a century.
This is not bowling at all, when tim bresnan and stuart broad could hit consequetive fours and sixes.look at the body shapes of your bowlers- one look like and anaemic other a fat body.first make yourself fit guys,then bowl. zaheer is the only bowler who is at par with international standards. its not 20-20. 5 days bowling needs endurance.look at your past at least, kumble, srinath..they were indefatigueable. with school level bowling attack and aged batsmen you can't play the game of cricket at the place it originated.
lession to learn. learn it quick,else, you'll prove people like ravi shastri wrong,who could shout on british media for you.
Zaheer and Sehwag were struggling when IPL was on, they decided to risk England tour for money. I do not blame them individually but BCCI should have seen this coming but why do they care. IPL is great vehicle to mint money. Secretary of the board owns IPL team, team owners expect every horse to run till his last drop of sweat, so why should we expect anything better !! All this noise about greatest seriers ever, 2000th test match etc. is the making of Media. For players/BCCI, this is just another lazy day at work !! Fans suck up to any non-sense delivered by BCCI/players !!

Why did Sachin now Bowl before he fell sick, he can bowl better than Dhoni, is not it ? Sehwag has not been bowling for a long time as well. We have half-ass players in the team :)
India has to go with 8 batsman 3 seemers. There is no use of any specialist spinner in the team in english conditions. So Yuvraj has to replace Bajji, so that Raina,Yuvraj,Sachin will share the spin department, batting lineup will be very strong and Sreesanth or Munaf for unfit Zaheer. u need to have 4 bowlers to bowl at least 20 overs in a day. 3 pacers will get tired or they will cut pace to bowl longer spell. my team

cmon if u hv any thing personal with ISHANT tak it out.. so far he has been the most exceptional bowler.. u cant ignore hw he bowled in WI and in 2 innings.. harbajan is the 1 who shud go out

Then you want them to be Crying or what? Do you know anything about body language. If our team is No.1 then they have behave like a dominant No.1 side. Not to bee seen crying or looking worried. it neither give them confidence nor us the confidence. and confidence is a major aspect of winners.

there won't be any chance of losing a match if go with 8 batsman, if time is good will win or get drawn.
I think Sreesanth and Praveen could be the savior for India in this match as both of them are good at exploiting overcast condition in England ! I'm highly disapointed from Ishant as he every now and then show a very inconsistent performance. This is not the case of proper guidance, it the lack of basic cricket knowledge. In lords his colleague Zaheer (as long as he bowled) and Praveen bowled beautifully in the first inning, pitching the ball up and let it swing, he bowled short stuff as if he got pace of Dale Steyn or Brett Lee. He should think that he is pacy but not 'pacy enough' to trouble the batsman by his pace alone ! He has to rely upon swing rather then pace to take wickets !

haha it should be 'KEY' not 'KEI' either. Another exp of Indian try to pick holes in trivial things and don't care about the matter !!
i felt there was something missing from the beginning. now-a-days our guys are also actively indulging in rhetoric before a series by attacking opposition abilities. this time around our guys have been very cautious. probably they knew english team is too god for them in current conditions and unecessary talk should be avoided.
The best part would be for our batsmen to get grips with english pace attack and stand ground not throwing wickets cheaply. every ball of every inning should be read well and played accordingly.
bowling is unpredictable and in gods hands ...but infact its the indian bowling which always did miracles and handed down great victories to us.hope for the good
Through last 20 years, whenever Sachin's form is poor, the whole team looks pale. His taking a break brought his form down. He should have gone to West Indies. Anyway hope he gets back his eyes, hands and legs in time by tomorrow.
