ishant or zaheer or dhoni, fitness is not always whipping a dog
by D S on Jul 27, 2011 04:34 PM  | Hide replies

it is an art that india does not know, at one time on peak, australia apart from regular fitness routine also did yoga ...
videshi coaches have jumbled it all. Praveen and Ishant could have cracked more wickets if we have properly trained desi coach.

lesser said about fitness of laxman, dravid, tendulkar the better. seems like they are planted by selectors and they cannot be controlled unless cigarette smoking and whiskey sipping selectors step in to tell them about fitness.

australia did un-conventional exercises for things that are needed and well known yet cannot be described here.

Fast Bowlers!!! - Who???
by guru sharma on Jul 27, 2011 04:19 PM

Under the able guidance of Mr. Venkatesh Prasad and offshore consultant Wasim Akram, our bowlers from 140 KMPH can bowl at a max speed of 114 KMPH.
Who says line and lenght will be awry if u bowl fast. We shud be inspired by Bret Lee and not Shoaib Akhtar.

Protest
by guru sharma on Jul 27, 2011 04:15 PM

BCCI should protest that ICC should allow 16 players for India. then no confusion on whom to pick - just play everyone.

Commitment
by m j on Jul 27, 2011 03:29 PM  | Hide replies

See commitment. There was one Anil Kumble who even after breaking his jaw came to bowl in West Indies
and
There is one Ishant Sharma who asks for rest after bowling just 11 overs and taking a lunch break of 40mins!! that too at a crucial time when we had England on the mat with 6 wickets down.
I am amazed no one is talking about this issue of taking rest

Correct in saying. All such were watched by Dhoniji, and England deserve to win

Unmatured comments. One match lost after so many series cannot justify your plea.

Tell me varun whts the amount??
bowling 4overs per match in 20-20 is big amount??
playing one series in WestIndies is big amount??
Its not about the amount, its about commitment!! Kumble had a broken jaw but he came to bowl only coz India needed his service. And this time Ishant was bowling fine and we needed him. Lack of commitment nothing else!!

Here the question of amount doesnot count, but the commitment counts, and commitment does not come from the amount play, but it comes right from the beginning.

At the age of 22 if Ishant needs so much rest, his stamina is really questionable.
