There were three hundred including a double hundred. Let us see the strike of these players:
KP ( Batsman): 202 runs @ 61.96 (326 balls )
M Prior ( Wicketkeeper): 103 @ 85.83 (120 balls)
Dravid (Batsman): 103 runs @ 46.82 (220 balls)
I do not understand why people are hyping Dravid for this inning when India has lost the match.
Dravid is a batsman who know how to survive, he can never dominate bowling.........That is why he does not as much attention as other like Ponting or even Kallis gets.

WE SHOULD GIVE A BAT TO RAHUL WHEN HE IS FIELDING SO THAT HE CAN STOP THE BALL ATLEST AND THE PERSON STANDING NEXT TO HIM CAN CATCH..

Defensive players like Dravid or Boycott certainly come up every decade but cannot be called great...unlike Viv Richards, Tendulkar or Sehwag

Can you please name atleast one, who is as accomplished as Dravid, came up in last 2 decades? You may use the entire globe to find one..

On that list, there was no Viv Richards, Graham Pollock, Gary Sobers... go figure.
Just read all the columns here and see the praise All of 'em have for Dravid. One ton common among them all is that Dravid put India ahead of himself.
By the way, Dravid is 100 times better then Boycott

Just read all the columns here in England and see the praise All of 'em have for Dravid. This includes Agers, who is generally pro England and limited to it. a tone common among them all is that Dravid put India ahead of himself.
No way I am saying Dravid is better then Sachin, the point is Dravid one of the greatest India has produced
By the way, Dravid is 100 times better then Boycott
A few guys here are questioning Indias No1 ranking based on one, yes ONE, loss toengland(filled with 4 south african born guys btw). Where was the match preparation for the Indians? India were world champs and immediately after had to honour the commitments of playing in IPL, which left them drained. Even then a 3rd string side won overseas in the windies on fast pitches. And did you forget that tendulkar batted with fever, gambhir had a elbow injury, Zak was missing etc. And the wrong decision against KP when he was 49(went on to make 200)? THis is a champion side and they are gonna come back and make some of these armchair critics, who need a dose of humility, eat humble pie. Btw, 90 pc of fans in various polls in ndtv, aaj tak etc agreed that it was bad luck more than anything else as the rason for loss. You guys are in minority. So whine on...
he only needs Bhrat Ratna he has set a deadline to government till 14 th august By that time if he doesn't get Bharat Ratna then he will join Anna hajare's fast

My point is how can u sell ur prize/gift? Is he so hungry for the money? how much he wants? In August 2003, the finance ministry had exempted Tendulkar from paying around Rs 1.13 crore (approximately $245,000) towards import duty for the vehicle, valued at Rs 75 lakh (approximately $162,600). Now he should pay up the duty as he has sold his 'Gift' and made money..
Afterall, it is public money.. what a brain.. Get ur gift exempted from GOvt and then sell it and make money... wah sachin wah..
Also, in order to save tax of around Rs 2 crore on income derived from doing TV commercials, Tendulkar told the Income Tax tribunal that acting, not cricket, is his profession
He further stated that the income derived by him from 'acting' had been reflected as income from "business and profession" whereas income from playing cricket was reflected as "income from other sources" since he is a non-professional cricketer. Tendulkar explained that the claimed deduction in tax was from the exercise of his profession as an 'actor'
Sachin should have \\\'retired\\\' atleast 5 years ago. Let us put it the other way: there was no need to \\\'select\\\' Sachin in ODIs and International Test matches. That is the truth, the bitter truth. We are treating him like God, is it fair? He has deprived of a younger talent blossoming. He has deprived India of winning the England-India first Test at Lords. Don\\\'t blame Sachin, blame those who selected him for the team, blame those who sent him to play with viral fever. I have one question to ask: If everybody, yes everybody, has lost sense, does it mean that Sachin too should lose his sense. Wisdom, grace, and self-esteem must come from within and Sachin lost that opportunity.
