be realistic,

IPL cannot be compared with test.

ipl is only 4 overs or 5. and there is lot of rest for body to recover.

it is foolish to blame IPL for bowlers demise.

When has he been fully fit?

When was the last time outside the IPL that Zaheer was ever really fit for an entire tour? He had two full months off and still cannot maintain his fitness knowing fully well how important his contribution is. Really makes you admire Kapil Dev. Never missed a single test because of fitness reasons over 14 years of cricket most of which was on the cement tracks of India with all the heat and dust. Perhaps the India superstars can take a leaf out of Michael Clark's book who refused a T20 league to get ready for the Lankan tour. It is frustrating as a spectator to see Zaheer on and off so frequently. One can only imagine Dhoni's frustrations seeing him pull up short on his bowling run up.

Did the so called critics here forget the bad luck for India?
by sandeep kumar on Jul 26, 2011 10:28 PM

A few guys here are questioning Indias No1 ranking based on one, yes ONE, loss toengland(filled with 4 south african born guys btw). Where was the match preparation for the Indians? India were world champs and immediately after had to honour the commitments of playing in IPL, which left them drained. Even then a 3rd string side won overseas in the windies on fast pitches. And did you forget that tendulkar batted with fever, gambhir had a elbow injury, Zak was missing etc. And the wrong decision against KP when he was 49(went on to make 200)? THis is a champion side and they are gonna come back and make some of these armchair critics, who need a dose of humility, eat humble pie. Btw, 90 pc of fans in various polls in ndtv, aaj tak etc agreed that it was bad luck more than anything else as the rason for loss. You guys are in minority. So whine on...

Tragedy of Indian Cricket
by smita R on Jul 26, 2011 05:07 PM  | Hide replies

Is anybody know the reason of tragedy for indian cricket, that we can find many good batsman like Rohit Sharma, Robin Uthapa, S. Badrinath, S. Tiwari, A. RAyadu and many more all these have potential to perform well in international cricket, but about Pace/Medium Pace Bowler unfortunetly we can hardly find any name, (there are Ashok Dinda, Umesh Yadav, Pankaj Singh, Vinay Kumar etc etc) but all are like slow pace bowler, which is not useful in current internation cricket standard (TEST, One DAy or T20). Anybody know why INDIAN CRICKET IS SO POOR IN BOWLING SIDE?

SEND ZAHEER BACK HOME AND SEEK REPLACEMENT
by damodaran mohan on Jul 26, 2011 03:59 PM

...”morning shows the day” ? Zaheer’s first over , chugging like a locomotive out of Maint& repair shop at 60% power was enough to give idea if things to come. Although Zaheer did pick up some steam after couple of overs but only to breakdown by tea time. The selectors/team management and Zaheer himself have to do a lot of explaining as he was not hurt externally but it looked to be an inner injury resurfacing. It was a very bad let down for team India in one of the most important occasion. I/Sharma was totally ineffective and PK was moving the ball on either side a lot and was doing everything but take wickets. Bhajji of course had become superfluous. Except for Dravid rest of the experienced batters failed to apply themselves although Mukund and Sachin did seem to be going well but could not last long. England’s limitations showed in their 2nd innings but once again Indians failed to build on I/Sharma’s magical spell and the rear guard action of Broad and Prior virtually took away the game from the grasp of India and was left to force a draw instead. In fact Draw was very much feasible because most of the dismissals in the 2nd innings were soft dismissals. If only Laxman had not virtually thrown his wickets in both innings and if only Sachin had played with positive intent in the 2nd innings the match could have been saved.

why indian bowling looks beg in overseas. praveen kumar cannot be replacement for zaheer khan . does india is not having real fast bowlers. is praveen kumar can called as a fast bowler. this is the main difference between two sides.
