Talk is always about Sachin
by Joe Jaising on Jul 24, 2011 04:42 PM  | Hide replies

It is true that talk is always about Sachin, in every way, Rahul Dravid is remarkable player. I dont remember, many(there are few) matches where Sachin has played like Dravid or Laxman. I am not big fan of Sachin for his selfish resons and I will alayws like Dravid, Laxman and Ganguly for various services that these people have done to the country(Dravid - Saving grace for India, Laxman - Crisis Man and Ganguly - Putting India on world front from darkest days of match fixing, Sachin - Can't count other than his selfish records...

GREAT WALL OF INDIAN CRICKET
by sivanesan sivanesan on Jul 24, 2011 02:14 PM  | Hide replies

HISTORY WILL NEVER FORGET DRAVID IS THE GREAT WALL OF INDIAN CRICKET. SACHIN IS ONLY THE "MASTER".

IN TERMS OF DETERMINATION, DRAVID SCORES ABOVE ALL BRADMANS, RICKYS, LARAS AND SACHINS.. HE IS THE BEST TEST PLAYER FOR THE WINNING AND SAVING THE INDIAN TEST TEAM..

A TRUE TEAM PLAYER, PROVED HIMSELF WHEN THE TEAM BADLY WANTED A WICKET KEEPER BATSMEN AND SCORED MORE THAN 10000 RUNS IN ODI..

RECOMMENDED DHONI FOR T20, NEVER HAD A CONTROVERSY ETC..

abt sachin
by Renju on Jul 24, 2011 01:43 PM

ppl critize sachin based on the type of match, picking one skill of a top performr , like this..

Dravid is better thn sachin considering matchsaving inngs.
Laxmen is better thn sachin considering 4th innings perform
Dhoni is better catpiain than sachin.
Sachin does not have yuvrajs all round abilities in one day cric.
Not swashbucling as yousef pattan in 2020..

but ppl forgot this fact laxman and dravid are out from one team, and are sidelines of ipl team. yuvraj dhoni etc are yet to establish as test players..

Dravid
by Abhijit Nair on Jul 24, 2011 01:10 PM  | Hide replies

Guys this was a great innings by any standards, but look at the indian media and the writers no words of appreciation, if the same innings even half as good and effective as Dravid was played by Sachin, the whole media lobby of Manjrekar, Shastri, Gavaskar, Bhogle would have filled reems and reems of praises but ALAS, they would be happy to cover Sachin's sneezes, Arjun's diaper changes etc but they do not have time and effort for other players, i guess no other player plays for India except Sachin.
If guys remember even in the world cup, one of the main architects of the victory and the leading wicket taker zaheer was not even mentioned in most of their comments, inspite of being a fellow maharashtrian, they didnt get tired of glorifying thier mumbaikar Sachin, such double standards exist and so prejudiced are these people, where reporters or commentators are suppose to be neutrals , I dont know whether they are on the payroll of Sachin.,agreed that you always have a soft corner for a relative, statemate, city mate, batch mate etc but turning a blind eye to others performance is just obnoxious, ridiculoour and intolerable

Friend, it is also because sachin has given a lot to indian cricket. don't forget the 90s where sachin was more or less the lone hope for india when indian wickets kept falling right and left...a fine example would be world cup semi 1996 . wonderful batting strokes by sachin, even check out the knock vs australia in the same wc.

also the praises on sachin are expected as he is just a century away from the magical three figure mark.

one great (bradman) missed the three figure mark in average, now lets hope this great (sachin) doesnt miss the three figure mark in centuries.

But then how would you account for as to how much cricket has reciprocated to Sachin. A lower middle class person has a fortune which could be envy for anyone

we always talk about this Individual record. bull shit..

I too, a fan of Sachin.. but please dont torture with his records..

Dravid's centuries in SA, calcutta, adelaide, recent series in SL, WI will prove he is the best test "team player". check Indian's records away in difficult pitches with difficult attacks like WI, SA, NZ and PAK

also sachin has had a splendid 2010 averaging 78 in the year. as for his yesterday's knock, well he averages poor at lord's and his best is only 37, and he couldn't do better than his best score

How true ur? Wish these "great" writers give credit where it's due. By the way ask them to let us know the no.of times Sachin brought victory by his own efforts!

if that is the case- why media & useless fan like abhijit nair is hyping most non performing player dhoni who has never performed in any test even after playing 6 hrs.
fact remains all dravid, sachin, laxman are great & desrve praise.
but how come medicore like dhoni is put in same bracket. this is real politics.

lol. Your pea brain only rates people by centuries ? He does not open. Check when has he scored above 50. That is a good meter for his slot. When will you fan babys learn ?

Tendulkar plays well only in good batting pitch
by Pathan on Jul 24, 2011 12:56 PM  | Hide replies

Tendulkar plays well only in good batting pitch
like Indian pitches. I have never seen Sachin getting big hundreds in Durban, West indies,
England which we have won matches.
Anil KUmble has done it, Ganguly has done it and now Rahul Dravid but not Sachin.
People love his strokes and style but most inconsistent batsmen in th world is sachin !

He scores century once in a 10 matches which keeps his avergae up.
Unlike others contributes in each and evry match like Dravid and Ghambir or Laxman!

Our media is sold out to Sachin Tedulkar;this was my understanding for last ten years and in every cricket event this is getting strengthened.Perhaps companies for whom he is advertising are also part of this game.
