And i will support dhoni's decision to bowl,,in english conditions u need to have a slow mediun bowler and it was empty in the indan camp. Kapil paji u wouldnt have commented if dhoni hv got that wicket of peterson so just chill and enjoy the game .

what's wrong if dhoni bowls...i think it was a clever move..the conditions demanded seam bowling.he bowled decent enough,he even had KP in trouble a couple of times..what if he'd got that wicket?
He has won more TEST matches for INDIA compared to Dhoni...Dhoni is a waste in TEST cricket
If Dhoni was a regular part time bowler this question would not have arised...normally he only bowls when the test match is dead and buried. So when he bowled in the second day this question came up

respected sir, kapildev ralal nikhanj was the captain of test match winning teams only 4 times compared to MSD (15 times) , whcih means he won 11 tests less than MSD. regards
I still remember Kapil's 13 ball over against Zimbabawe. Hougton wacked a six without moving his legs. Thats the real mockery. Those days of exhibition matchs. Kapil would wear a different costume when the entire team would come in an attire. Dhoni made Ganguly captian the team for the final 20min of his last match. Thats how a real sportsman deserves a farewell. Do you call that a mockery. That move was different to.
Dhoni's bowled decently. Atleast I watched a bit more when thing started to get boring.
Dhoni wanted to become hero but instead he became Zero by a foolish decision.. He just wanted to be highlighted thats all no more of a cheap publicity stunt .. jUst think what could have happened if Dravid dropped on his Bowling... or got hurt.. who would have paid for that......
I had great admiration for you for the major part of your career, until you persisted with playing for the sake of a non existent record. Richard Hadlee's record of wickets had been achieved in less than 90 tests, while you dragged long after you were of any use to the team. In your last 17 test matches, you could pick up only 37 wickets from 33 innings. In other words you were able to pick up just about 1 wicket for each innings in which you bowled.
So in this period, were you glorifying test cricket or mocking it for the sake of a (I repeat) non existent personal record. The record was non existent since you took more tests to achieve the land mark of 430 odd wickets you were aiming for to equal or overtake Richard Hadlee.
Now, coming to Dhoni, experts and media would have gone ga ga had he picked up a wicket. It has happened many times in cricket matches that irregular bowlers cause over confidence or a casual approach in batsmen thereby causing a fall.
As rightly pointed out by Dhoni in a post match interview some time back, he takes decisions and you have the benefit of the results of such decisions to criticise him. He does not have the benefit of such foresight or hindsight while taking the decision.
Cool down dear, it is after all a game, not a war India is waging against England.
Be happy that Dhoni is able to bring cheers, optimism, hope and a never say die spirit to his team mates, which you and your contemporaries could not even think of!
KAPIL dev purely has talked nonsense this time. The captain has right to try within the rules... KApil tried off breaks though he is not a spin bowler..is it not a mockery???
