politicians also emerge from the same society.
better sense prevailed in bangalore so that kumble could get elected. MCA elections always famous for back stabbing. If player of the calibre of vengsarkar is contesting he should have been elected unopposed, any way what to expect from a country in which the greatest indian athlete of all time is repeatedly insulted. I mean P T Usha in this context & BCCI repeated insults to kapil dev.

Why Vilash rao Deshmukh who is a union minister heading a plum Ministry wants to become BCCI Chief Obviously money he is swindlind in ministry is not enough He is also getting Rs 5 crore per annum as MP Local area fund atleast half of which is misappropriated by him is also not enough for him BCCI is very rich and easy prey for this Adarsh scam veteran politician Do not know how many crores he must have spent He may not have even touched bat in his life but still wants to head Premier cricket body He should have allowed Dilip Vengsarkar a fine cricketer and thourough to become President In my opinion all sports bodies should be reserved for sportsmen who have played atNational level

AGREE. A person should have played the or participated in some SPORTS at a COMPETITIVE level. No in "ally gali" or community clubs, we all have done that in some phase of our life.

It is sad to accept that we have to accept arm twisting tactics from political bigwigs in a so called democratic country where common man does not have a say. Why should politician's leave their field and get into sports. Cricket supporters are not in favor of a politician at the helm of a cricket association. It should have been Mr. Dilip Vengsarkar instead of Vilasrao Deshmukh. Politician's should concentrate on the well being of the country and now an above all monster called terrorism instead of taking over sports. Leave it to the sportman.
