INDIA ARE FAVOURITES-II

Indian bowling, especially the pacers like Ishant Sharma and P/Kumar, who seem to have re-invented themselves in the WI , along wit Zaheer and Srisant would form a potent combination. Praveen Kumar, the way he had been getting swings either way could be handful in the English conditions. Ishant on the other hand can produce the ‘chin music’ like no other Indian bowler have ever done and his stunning ‘sorters’ seen in WI could be the turning points. Zaheer of course with his swinging deliveries keeping the batters always guessing would be leading the pack along with the ever unpredictable Srisanth and his pranks. Munaf ?Even while bowling his 2nd over his body language looks as if to be bowling his 20th over! Dhoni is taking him for net bowling ? English conditions were ideal for giving chance to one youngster. Sorry, the opportunity has been lost. Spin deptt ? Bhajji’s bowling is looking more and more pedestrian everyday however considering that Bhajji is through with his 400 wickets, may be he would be more positive in England. With some such fine tuning, India the No.1 Test side in the world certainly starts as favorites .

Yes , India start as favorites. The pressure on England, to beat No one team, shall itself bring India laurels.

INDIA ARE FAVOURITES--I

The young Indian side with the backing of series wins and carrying lot of positives from the WI series must be high on confidence in taking on the English. The reinforcements and availability of full Indian side will further boost their chances of beating England in their home soil. Dravid and Laxman regaining their old grit and touch together with availability of Sachin and yuvraj , the middle order is expected to be the mainstay of the Indian batting. In the first two tests, absence of Sehwag could make things a bit difficult but with availability of Gambhir and likes of A/Mukund and Raina also coming into form in WI series, it affords more choice to take care of injuries to regulars. One caution that should be followed will be for the Indian middle order, especially Dravid not to allow the SR to fall drastically and get bogged down as unlike WI, the English bowlers would be able to take full advantage and effect a collapse. On the fielding side, the Indians will have to be improve the close- in fielding and catching. Dravid, a record holder in ‘catches’ dropped too many catches in the WI.

AGAIN it will come the responsibility to draw the matches to Rahul Drawwwwwwwwwwww id only with his south indian best partner vvs laxman because all indian team may get caught in slips & gally as our weakness to tamper ball outside off stumps in 1989 tour graham guch made 333 and 111 runs against india lost the series miserablyGooch played for England for many years, but blossomed late in his career after being appointed captain at the end of the "summer of four captains" in 1988. He scored a record 456 runs in the Lord's Test against India in 1990, 333 in the first innings and 123 in the second. As of 2011, this is the only instance in any first-class cricket of a batsman scoring 300 and 100 in two innings of the same match,[7] and his aggregate of 456 for the match remains a world record for a Test match.[8] In 1990 Gooch was awarded Professional Cricketers' Association Player of the Year this time andrew strauss and peterson may copy graham gouch?

Ind win or lose, it doesnt matter to BCCI or large part of Indian anymore. Ckt is just money laundering business for corporate body & players from poor Ind who fights for a day's half meal but will earn reqd money for entertainment of cinema & ckt.. Once ppl come out of such habits, I really think Ind will be force to reckon with in form of per capita income

In the following year against the West Indies he scored a match-winning 154 not out, carrying his bat throughout England's second innings against a highly rated pace attack, while only two of his colleagues reached double figures. The veteran sportswriter Frank Keating rated this as the finest Test innings he had ever seen in England.[9] This opinion was backed up by the ICC rankings, which listed it as the highest-ranking innings of all time at any venue.

Rated among the best batsmen in the world for most of the early 1990s, his skills started to fade as his Test match career went on past the age of 40. After the fourth Test match of the 1993 Ashes series fellow opening batsman, Michael Atherton, was appointed his successor as captain. In 1995, at the age of 41, Gooch retired from Test match cricket as England's all-time highest run scorer. Over 118 Test career, played with a r

Come again, bhajji ? cricket ? This arrogant sardar has to work on his basics and become humble to start taking wickets ! He is going to be a liability for Dhoni as of now.
