Is Sachin Mumbai's greatest batsmen?
by Jaya S on Jul 13, 2011 06:36 PM  | Hide replies

That should be the question and not if he is the world's greatest because that will be injustice to Indian greats to put Sachin above them.
Batsmen like VVS, Dravid, Sehwag, Vishy and most of all Gavaskar are all better than Sachin in so much that they play for the team cause and influence results (save or win games). So answer is Gavaskar is the greatest batsman Mumbai has ever produced.

Sachin is not even the greatest cricketer Mumbai has seen, let alone the world. That mantle is clearly Gavaskar's. Facing up to Marshall, Roberts, Holding, Garner, Croft, Lillee, Thommo, Imran, Hadlee, Patterson and others. All Sachin did was hide or fail against the best of his time like McGrath, W/W, Donald.

SRT
by Asim Mehtani on Jul 13, 2011 06:05 PM  | Hide replies

Just they are exploring the situation into their favour by praising SRT, so that SRT can come into pressure. It is a human psychology, that whenever utmost praise is done, the pressure mounts to rise automatically. SRT cannot play in pressure. The history tells us.

Well... you can't say or compare like this if you have some common sense. Ppl sitting in the cubicle including me have their own work pressures and thats cricket for us. But in general ppl know cricket as its played in public unlike the work what we do which would be known to ppl who are in the same line. So just think man..

That's why he is out by offering silly shots when India need him most. On the other hand Laxman and Dravid, even Bhajji shows their class.

Even SRT should have there, he should have been out in the first delivery of Edwards. Do you understand the nature of pitch or just have only the emotional praise.

Laxman and Dravid are not sloggers. To have won that test, we would have needed both Tendy and Sehwag.

Please don't belittle our senior players who have played for over a decade for India

What a rubbish comment "Any test class batsman can score 100's if his only intention is to score 100."
Why nobody score so many 100?
Whether they did't want?
or Bowlers didn't allow them!!

IDIOT

I think Sehwag, Dravid & Sachin are the key players in England, as because Gambhir, Raina or Yuvi are not very well (initially) against the swinging conditions.
