Murali at least got 800 wickets against his name. Where is Bhajji? can't compare Bhajji and Murali.

Indian team 11 for Lords Test
by sandy J on Jul 12, 2011 11:21 AM  | Hide replies

Till Sehwag recovers the best 11 option for the first test against England are Gambhir, Dravid as an openers, Laxman, Tendulkar, Yuvraj, Raina, Dhoni, Harbhajan, Praveen, Zaheer and Ishant.

I would rather have Rohit Sharma or Vijay play in place Yuvi and put them for opening along with Gambhir. Rahul is too precious to be used as an opener.

Harbhajan needs a rest
by chatter on Jul 12, 2011 11:17 AM

Harbhajan Singh is overbowled, stale and jaded. He is one the guys playing in all forms of cricket for the BCCI, be it Tests, ODIs or T20. All opposition teams have now worked him out and he seems short of fresh ideas. IN South Africa and in the West Indies one saw him bowl all through to defensive set fields even when the side was in a winning situation and needed Bhajji to get the vital last breakthroughs. Possibly Dhoni too is undertsnading the issue, so even when the opposition tail enders are batting he employs defensive fields when Bhajji is bowling instead of attacking with 7-8 fielders around the bat as would normally be expected in such situations and under the given conditions which were favourable to a bowler like Bhajji.

Let me correct you - If Rain was not there then India would have won 3-0.

Yes, if viru were there, if sachin were there, if zaheer were there, if GOD were there, etc, etc - it would have been 3-0 for India. I absolutely agree with you. However, Steve Waugh's Aus or Clive Lloyd's WI never had to use the word "if". They showed us what true champions meant and how they used to systematically bulldoze their opponents.

If I was PM, then i would have made you president!..got the logic...

If and buts are for excuse givers..The fact is the guy could not bowl when all odds were aginst the WI, the situation was a bowler's dream,, our guy let us down BIIIIIGGG TIMMMEEE!!

Harbhajan to hit form in England
by A Singh on Jul 12, 2011 10:57 AM  | Hide replies

Perhaps Bishop is talking about Harbhajan's batting form.
The ace spinner could not take 9th wicket in West Indies' 2nd innings on a turning track for 3 hours, and that is his peak bowling form.
