Some facts about this pair
by Nikhil Shah on Jul 13, 2011 05:24 AM

There some facts about this pair which could make them the best ever.

First, Zaheer is bowling at an average less than 30 for the last few years. His strike rate is about 9 overs, but has improved over the last few years to about 8 overs per wicket.

On the other hand, Ishant's form has been great and his bowling SR is also about 8 overs.
They both have a higher eco rate of 3.2 -3.4, but the ability to take wickets ever 8 over is the lowest for any fast bowling combination in the history of Indian Cricket.

What is going to interesting is Praveen Kumar's ability in the English conditions. If he bowls well at an average of 24, for the first time in the history of Indian cricket 3 seamers will be able to average 25 or less.

This is the first time India may have a world
seam attack based on Ishant form, Praveen in the English conditions and the improved skills of Zaheer Khan.

irfan pathan
by Chaman Giri on Jul 13, 2011 12:05 AM

i think it would have been wise to let irfan pathan be in the indian squad as an all rounder. no body has the capability to take on that role. may be mr. dhoni has other ideas.

by vinay on Jul 12, 2011 11:35 PM

i hate ausis but they wud hv definitely tried to win the 3rd test match with 180 runs required in 47 overs that too against the world's weakest team even behind bangla.
dhobi_is no better capt than dravid or kumble. n the team doesnt look like number 1 team, beware iof eng team.
n even ishant cudnt get anything in second inning

Good Ishant and Zaheer. Then Praveen Kumar and Harbhajan will make Indian bowling line up very good.
