Belonging to a particular community is such a crime

If BHajii was not asikh
Everyone would have praised him,
Kumble played 132 matches to take 619 Wkts (average 4.6 wkts per match).
BHajii played 98 matches for 400 wkts (average 4.081 wkts per match), Is there a great differnce, So whay so many BHajii bashers: simple hi from minority.

Very well said, I have been saying the same thing since so many years.

But u said minority, I will say a particular minority, if he had been from any other minority community he would hv been praised by everybody.
To correct you further, Bhajji has played 96 tests not 98 as you hv mentioned, that makes his average even better.

probably because there are other players who have done 800/ 700/ 600.

earlier kapil / hadlee were greats and still called greats for taking 400 odd wickets. I wish bhajji to finish with at least 500

bhajji bashers
by cool dude on Jul 08, 2011 09:27 PM  | Hide replies

first look at the spinners in the time bhajji has played look at there averages and then you will realize what he is worth. from 1 to 10 in spinners is all bhajji, and then comes swann ans then vettori.
he will play much more retire with about 550 wickets and 6 centuries.
say what you want and do what you can.

I do not see many bhajji bashers, as much as there were for kumble, who was never fancied, and was always a quiet chap, understated. bhajji, if he has any bashers- they must be from the loserland downunder

REALITY CHECK
by madanmohan siddhanthi on Jul 08, 2011 05:56 PM

He has done enormous service to Indian cricket Congratulation. It is time to re asses and see what has been happening recent years. He has been less successful ,I am not saying comparing to his earlier but as a spinner in a test team. One possibility is IPL which is a racket killing the talent all the same making them billionaires .His recent performance does not call for wasting a place in the team. Naturally we have lot of ex- who will sing a song depending on the side the board is on. Time is near to move on - unless the coach /manager is able to bring in more productive efforts from him . Need lot of retrospecting by HS.

Harbhajan's Form
by Ananya Gupta on Jul 08, 2011 04:37 PM

He is a good bowler who is not in best of forms recently. Maybe now that he has got his 400 wcks he can bowl more freely. Competition for his place is heating up every day with players like Ashwin & Ojha waiting in the wings.
