Good events happen to indian Cricket in Dhoni's captaincy. That does not mean that Dhoni is a good captain. This is due to some talented players playing at present in Dhoni's era. In the last two test in west indies what is the contribution of Dhoni. All forgot about Dravid and Laxman. Once this Dhoni was cricising the senior players. He does not know how to respect the senior and experienced players. so fas captaincy is involved, no credit should be given to Dhoni. Please deeply analyse and u can know. Simply things happend in his time.
you are the best. the best ever indian player. you are unparalleled in indian cricket in the winning attitude and passion you bring to the game. no indian player in the history of cricket has been able to achieve what you have achieved. you always give your best and encourage other players and extract the most out of them be he a senior or junior, a player in form or out of form.
there may be indian players with better record, better talent and better technique than you, but still you can do what these players cannot do. the no. of amazing innings you play and bring victory to india with so much awesome consistency even they have not been able to do as consisitently as you.
there are very few players of your type for whom team achivements are more important and take precendence over personal achievements or milestones. the impact you have brought on indian cricket, players and fans and even people from other walks of life is simply incredible. the way you selflessly lead the team and play is a lesson for new generation players (and even for older players)
you are always involved in the game yet are still detached from it. you dont blow your trumpet and after the win you simply melt in the crowd and allow your team members to enjoy and take the credit and praise.
you really are to the indian team what krishna was to the pandavas. whatever you say and do is gita...
"He's (Dhoni) the kind of captain who leads from the front. I think he's the captain which Indian cricket needed for a long time. And now that they've got the guidance and skill, they are producing good performances week in and week out," he told PTI in an interview.
There's a lot of support for him and the team seems to be so relaxed around him, and that is great. ” Sir Vivian Richards (after T20 World Cup win) It is stressful doing wicketkeeping, batting and captaining the team. He has handled the pressure well and I am confident he will do well with the willow in the World Cup. ” Kiran More before '11 WC

I am very fond of Dhoni as a cricketer. He is extremely modest, hardworking and dedicated. I like his body language and the way he approaches his game. He likes to take risks and is not afraid of losing in the bargain. ” Dilip Vengsarkar
Dhoni is my hero. We talk a lot about Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, but this boy has as much as talent as anyone in the game. ” Kapil Dev
I strongly believe in Dhoni. He's a clever captain and will come up with some sort of a plan. ” Kapil Dev before 2011 WC

He is the best captain I have played under. He is very sharp and always alert. He reads the situation well and is open to sharing ideas. He always has discussions with bowlers, batsmen and senior players separately. ” Sachin Tendulkar He stays calm. Situational awareness has been his biggest strength. He reads the situation well, is open to ideas, and above all, he doesn't show frustration. Sachin Tendulkar again Dhoni is the greatest captain of our country. His record is proof of that. ” Sourav Ganguly Dhoni is the Obama of cricket. ” Praveen Kumar It feels good to be compared to a player like him. Dhoni is like God. ” Saurabh Tiwary Dhoni was a junior player when he became captain (in 2007) but with his performances, he established his authority on the seniors. I am not a junior, but I want to lead from the front like him. ” Shahid Afridi MS, to me, from a personal point of view, is a very special leader to play under. I have a very good relationship with him, having played alongside him for four IPL seasons. ” Albie Morkel (SA player)
