Dhoni's so-called tactics never worked because honestly speaking, Dhonee never had any tactic at all...it was one or the other player performing in the last 3 years...Sehwag in tests, Gambhir in 2009, Kohli in ODI's this year, Raina sometime before that, Yuvraj Singh in world cup etc....That's why India won matches in the last few years.......And not because of any captaincy...captaincy is a big lie which has been perpetrated by the corrupt media...can you think beyond captaincy and count the no. of occassions when Dhoni's decision really made a difference?...if you look carefully, Dhoni had no contribution at all...Dhoni himself was the non-performer all along, quietly pocketing all glory heaped on him by a corrupt media for no reason at all...but this is where Dhoni's luck ends as it should because he is useless after all
dhoni is to b blammed for the test draw., he dropped baugh's simple catch n has been keeping poor n his batting has been worst especially in overseas series. its surprising that players like parthiv who r good at keeping n better batsman on lively pitches r kept out of eng tour without playing a single match.

He was lucky in World Cup Final as his rival captain and wicket Keeper Sangakkara missed his stumping twice and dropped one catch as well. Thats why Dhoni survived and became a Hero of the final.

lol. Yeah superman would have made that stumping. You need to detox from your hate. No wonder you are barking up BCCI on everything.
called luck. he uses his gut feeling, sometimes work. you should say samething to sachin, who was lucky that he was in the team which won WC eventhough his contribution in final was nothing, his 23yrs experience did not help in crucial innings, we have seen IPL as well.

very true, sachin is just a fairweather batsman. under difficult conditions and pressure he just collapses sooner or later. lacks strong nerves under pressure conditions...

Very good point. Amusing that his son passes offensive remarks against the umpire and is fined 50% while dhoni gets docked 60%. Imagine an indian player passing such comments against an umpire. He would have been banned for a couple of matches.

Broad was very very liberal to Dhoni. The punishment is very hard but BCCI's financial muscle made sure Dhoni only had to pay a peanut out of his Rs 300 Crore income /year.
In 2004 Ganguly was banned for 4 matches for slow over rate.
