They lost because they did not keep the timeline. No conspiracy here. Please honour deadlines and there will be no problem.
i do not know why the media in this country is giving such publicity for such an useless bloke..He is in the team purely by sucking upto Sachin and Dhoni..He has mastered that art after trying with Saurav earlier.Kumble had put him in his place
Well if you are thinking that you are playing for people who love the game, then you are mistaken. 99.99% of people in administrative positions have absolutely no interest in the game itself. They only care about how to make money out of it.
Stadiums, pitches, sports facilities...are all cost centers and they go opposite to the whole idea of Indian Cricket..
Sorry...bad luck bhajji...wrong country to expect much.

you sounds happy and that's pathetic. what about the Delhi CWG? same delay plus crores of money was looted. here at least we did not hear any such corruption related story.

Gentle request to all readers... There is one psychic commentor called "V S". Kindly neglect him, as he is no way near the cricket.. just interested in body languages, etc.....
since Independence there the congress was anti-bengalis and made no attempt to subotage bengalis and media is also supporting congress on these and CPM has helped congress to destroy bengal just for power. Bengalis have done so much for the nation but still no one respect their efforts

pandeyji, thanks for the comments. conspiracies aside. eden had its chance but blew it. last time england played in india only the small grounds were chosen - rajkot, indore, cuttack, guwahati, kanpur and we won every match and clinched the series in bangalore. eden matches can go either way. why not secure a sure win at chinnaswamy. in the end every indian wants india to win. so be it.

bengalis have given a gr8 chance to host Ind vs Eng world cup match, but due to some dirty bengaly politics, work hasn't been cmopleted in time(even after giving almost 1 year time) That's a real shame for Bengalies....

By knowing all these, bengalis still vote for these two parties.....:) Then who is sabotaging whom?

though I myself is a bengali but I do not think there is any conspiracy here. not sure who's fault it was, but probably many people were involved and they failed to judge how much time actually needs to finish such a job. but there is nothing new in it. recently concluded CWG was same.
India has perhaps never won a World cup match in Wankhede stadium. In 1986, India lost to England in semifinal. In 1996, India lost to Australia. In Eden, India lost 1996 Semifinal. But otherwise, India made all its comeback in Eden.
On teh other hand, Wankhede is always an under-prepared pitch, where part timer like Michael Clarke takes 6 wickets, Murali Kartick has to win India with Zaheer Khan. The pitch behaves as it wishes to. Very apt for playing mud wrestling, not cricket.
Re: Wankhede is a very unlucky ground too
by fulltoo dhamal on Jan 31, 2011 08:32 PM
if u r strong team, u will win at any pitch... As both team will get equal opportunity and playing on same pitch and conditions....
Re: Re: Wankhede is a very unlucky ground too
by Superman on Jan 31, 2011 08:58 PM
Not really....Both teams do not play on the same pitch. It is seen in Wankhede that the pitch gets detoriated over time. So side batting second always play in a different pitch.
