Everyone is feeling sad and protesting against ICC's decision but no one is questioning the authorities as to why the stadium is yet not ready. India bagged the 2011 world cup event many years ago. We had so much time to prepare the stadium. Money was not an issue either coz BCCI has tons of it.
SO Why the stadium was not ready ???? Why is no one from the authority being punished? Unless we hold people in higher authorities responsible, things will not change. And we will keep facing shameful treatment in international sports.
Same was the situation with Commonwealth stadiums. No one is punished yet for those either.
Shame on Indian Politics.. They get all the money and power. But they do not get any responsibility.
- they are defending champions - world no 1 in ODI - they thrashed ENG in ongoing ODI (chase, defend, win)
- many will say that they are poor on subcontinent pithces....but they have defeated us in all bilateral series in recent years (even with their second team) excpet that 1-0 won by India
... 2011 WC will be played to find runner up ..winner will remain the same like always ..- AUSTRALIA .........FACT...
they are not invincible like earlier...but they have got the rythm back just at right time...

might be super 6/8 format were good for them...and knockout may not turn out good... but no fun in cricket WC this time...no legend fast bowlers in cricket arena.... no mcgrath... no wasim/waqar....
Its a Circus. If your are not prepared, you dont deserve to hold it. For India it dosent matter, because the match will be played at another avenue in India and spectators will enjoy it. Also people of Kolkatta or west bengal will atch the match live (anyhow 50% of tickets are owned by members, associations). Its the image of CAB and India which takes a beating. Totally irrresponsible and not accountable.
Even with 4 years advance notic if u cannot plan and prepare a ground on expected time, it is utter worthless state club...Trnasfer the matches to so many deserving grounds like Chandigarh,chennai,bangalore or even hyderabad
