Sachin haters are a unique product of India..Because only in our nation can we find people who are petrified of genuine excellence..In any other country, Sachin would have been awarded their highest civilian honour by now..

Dear all, 1st i wud like 2 point out that the article mentions him as a "CRICKETING GOD" & not just as a "GOD" in the literal sense as most of u hav interpretted it. My other concern is the wanton disregard & hate steming 4 a person who has done far more 4 the morale of INDIA than most of us writing here can ever imagine ourselves doing. Sachin has been such an inspiration 4 our generation.infact he is the inspiration & role model 4 most of the players currently playing in the Indian cricket team.An entire generation of cricketers blossomed wanting 2 b like sachin. Its true that Sachin has not been a part of a world cup winning squad.& some say he disintegrates in pressure cooker situations..well let me put my pespective in this.. When Sachin playes well the other players get confidence and play well and the victory is lauded as a team effort.but if Sachin fails in a certain match, the entire team more often than not has had a reputation 2 collapse. This was also evident in the recently concluded IND-SA ODI series..& was further pronounced due 2 the absence of the opening partnerships of the Delhi duo.Such cases r regarded as an individual failure & not of the team, by cynics.. Even if he does wilt under pressure from the 11 men on the other side why dont any of 10 other indian players help this atlas 2 shoulder the sky? U guy

Guess you are much more useless than anyone else. Go back and check what you achieved for your self

I hope you grow out of your diapers some day and realize that the player you used to absolutely hate for no apparent reason is one of the true gems of india. There are 2 categories of sachin haters remaining here today 1- mentally challenged (age wise or via ineptitude) and 2- Attention seekers who think that its cool to be a non conformist or an antiestablishmentarian. Stop kidding yourself and go do potty.

Remember 2003 WC...India could reach the Finals only bcos of Sachin....In a team game wy do you expect only one person to perform...
He is called God because in the last 20 years India were always in contention bcos of him....

even if the real god came to earth today bird-brain morons like u will question even that and find fault... coz u r product of a corrupt atmosphere where criticizing greats is the only hobby...

Karun:
;-)... Which guy didn't crack like a cookie under pressure? Of course they ALL crumbled as you rightly gave the evidence that we haven't won the WC in 87 (you forgot to mention that I suppose), 92, 96, 99, 2003 and 2007... :)

When Pakistan won world cup, it can be attributed to Inzamam, who single handedly changed the fortune of Pakistan all the way thru the final. Sachin is yet to do to India as Inzy did to Pak, in the context of World Cup. Else he is a great player, no doubt.

Inzamam played 2 critical innings in the 1992 World Cup, they were the semifinal and final. It was the other Pakistanis who got Pakistan to the World Cup semifinal. But most of the time it is Sachin who gets India to the semifinal of final, so by that time the law of averages catches up. By the way Inzamam's innings would not have changed the game if not for the platform built by Imran Khan and Javed Miandad. Also Wasim Akram and Mushtaq Ahmed did an excellent job while bowling. So Samrat don't give all the credit to Inzy. In fact the 1992 final turned on 2 beautiful balls bowled by Akram.

Hey prathik and Sachin Baluni, nice sense of humour. BTW Farruq, we can keep arguing endlessly about who is the best batsman.
