yes, the arrogant gora will unzip their pants, and you take it in their mouth and sing their glory...you obviously realize that the goras would have never shown this level of disrespect to a Lords or MCG, even if they had missed some deadlines...they act like shameful ego-maniacs and you applaud them...typical servile indian mentality.

Absolute commie attitude.. Unions would hv gone on strike.. left leaders wud hv supported them saying they are not maoists.. Mamata told them, the stadium cannot be built by ppl who vote left. and few wud hv told no outsider can do construction here. And the list goes on..

It will be absolutely wrong to cite precedences. The fact remains that CAB did not give due importance for preparations, ignored the deadlines, did not prioritise the arrangements, officials failed to attach due & proper care, did not put in desired efforts that was needed, showed utter callousness in handling things, but only hoped that things will fall in place and even now hoping. What a pity and a real shame.Sack all those responsible for this loss of face.

Eden Garden

I would ask a question. CAB and BCCI did,t know the dates and schedules? And also they were not aware that, the whole world knows and waiting for this event?

Offcource ICC is not responsible for it.Curruption and unprofessionalism of our great leaders and so called influensed members in power are responsible for it. Just you can think, how they will be doing in areas, where international attension in not there! May be they were busy in how to eat money and who all should eat and all for the period of half the scheduled time of construction/renovation works and then may be hired a incapable contractor and so on.
Apart from this, who has guts in Indian board to handle or deal with ICC?? They can only beg them as if it is not their right.I know before that, ICC will not consider this request.
Salesman should be able to tell to his customers that, why they should purchage his/her things! Otherwise you can't sell even yourself. I support ICC desision in this matter. If you don't give respect to completion date and then you should be the loser. After all learn the value of time

WestBengal going down
by lee on Jan 29, 2011 04:20 PM  | Hide replies

Such a nice state and Kolkata is the pride of it. But due to the lazy attitude and people like Mamta - this state is going down. Its a big shame to Kolkata that such a beautiful stadium is unfit to host cricket matches. How much loss will incur - like loss of 100,000 ticket prices.

Very true. The people are really lazy. I had gone to Kolkata many times. The approach in the offices are very orthodox.People used to come very late and have to go early. Politics were at peak withing the Bengalis guys.Might be becoz they wann to live there at any cost(but not with doing extra work). Every 30 mnts people going down with a group for a Ciggratte..and small tea.
There is a BAND every month. Even those who can join the Office keeps the tendency to not come...
The City of Joy is only for the GF-BF who used to make the ugly and embrassing situation at every park,street,malls..
and above all, CPI-Mamta sagga is not hidden.

I feel bad for nice city Kolkata.

Pawer is showing ghis power. He is expert in dirty politics like Mamata. He is the most corrupted minister in UPA. He could not control the price rise of essential commodities. He is one of the looteras in UPA Govt. I wonder how a non performer is holding a post like Agricultural Minister. His name will be heading the list of black money holders once it comes out.
