Eden is a nostalgic ground for Bishen as he made his debut here and went on to become one of greatest spinners in the world. We all want the match to be reinstated due to emotional reasons same as you Bedi Sir. But those who made the delay and missed deadlines after deadlines need to be punished severely.Is it a joke? Recently these people refused to stage India NZ 2nd test on the pretext to prepare Eden which later went to hyderabad. initially it was scheduled for Kanpur. BCCI,ICC should ensure henceforth that all the stadiums be ready before 2 months at least. There should be warnings given from 6 months prior to schedule. Also all plug lists,deficiency lists should be spealt out at early stage. Wonder why they do not hire project Management companies as consultants/architects/Engineer for scheduling/monitoring planning and execution purpose.Suddenly these are not Dalmiya's job, specialists need to be appointed, but they try to keep all the power in their hand. These are mega events. All said and done as these are emotional related issues and the match needs to be reinstated. No one have authority to play with people's emotion, be it CWG, be in IPL semis in B'lore,Eden,wankhade, wherever it is
I am surprised that a No nonsense man like Bedi is now talking like a child. This is world cup , Bishen . No child's play. Our typical inefficiency, delays are not and would not be tolerated by International Body. Eden garden has already used up the extension. Mumbai Tie is much later than Kolkata match. So there was no time to grant extension.Bedi should instead insist on efficiency, doing the perfect work ahead of schedule instead of late. You have bowled a No Ball Bishen.

Calcutta got 2 extensions already. It's a prudent step to move the match and save the country from embarassment.

First, Bedi should have brain in its place. Emotions apart, if the stadium is not ready on a scheduled date, it should not be selected. Period. It is not a gully cricket, Bedi is talking about.
About your comments about cricket mafia, well, Dalmia was doing the same thing when he was holding the fort and dicating terms. So there is not point in pot calling kettle black.
Third, I agree you point in relation to looters.... Yes, they are mafia and no shame..
