No lessons learnt by ICC
by B M on Jan 28, 2011 09:45 AM  | Hide replies

Its a shame that ICC has not learnt any lessons from the CWG in Delhi. India demonstrated to the world its exceptional capabilities in getting sports grounds ready at the very last moment.

Shame that ICC did not learn from India's CWG experience and took a premature decision in banning Eden Gardens!

Even the CWG officials thought the stadia will not be ready before the games! What happened? THEY WERE PROVED WRONG! Were the stadia not ready in the NICK OF TIME? Same way, Eden Garden would have been made ready 10 minutes before the start of the match! Problem, people panic quickly!

Anyway, Suresh Kalmadi is now free and should be made the president of BCCI.

Kalmadi will have nothing to do in the jail. He can use that time to run BCCI. He can chair their meetings in the jail. If he is caught for corruption again, it will be very convenient to just extend his stay there.

Proves..

It again proves that how progressive the Bangalore city is....Kolkatta and West Bengal on whole is still in 18th century. Bengalis only keep on harping about achievements of Rabindranath Tagore, Paramahamsa, Jagadeesh Chandra Bose, etc, but completely ignore the misdeeds of communist party and tranmool congress which brought their state to this situation.

EDEN GARDENS
by Gopal Krishnan on Jan 28, 2011 07:37 AM  | Hide replies

Cricket loving people of Kolkata must unite and raise their voice to ascertain accountability. Infact, Kolkatans have been beeing deprieved to witness unannounced Finals of the World Cup. Take it from me, India and England are going to cash in the Finals at Wamkade later on during early April 2011. Kolkatans - do not lie and take it - react and prove your strength.

All that Kolkattans can do is to take to the street and burn effigies of Sharad Pawar and Sharukh Khan!

Yes they should have all been busy constructing the stadium instead of talking and talking and talking. That is all they can do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pls avoid commenting about any regional part...we all are Indian….we saw what happened in CWG in Delhi...so it's similar in this case also...just because of some corrupted people….don't talk rubbish about any race! We are all Indian...and maintain it through your behavior!
