Bengal is living in history... at present they are far far behind from the modern India, its good to see that strict action has been taken month before.

I agree, Bengal is living in history and stil amuses itself with Bandhs and protest while the communists in China, Russia and more recetly Cuba has moved on to being agressively progressive state. Basically we bengalies are lazy and low to critique people rather than introspecting our weakness and others strengths. Someday Bengal will wake up, I wonder whether we will be too late, and the world and rest of india would have moved on. And the way Bihar is going, Bengal will be overshadowed by Bihar very soon in terms of development.

Don't agree at all.It will be confusing to mix administrative lacuna of a cricket body with a state.
It is true and undenying that 34 years of single group rule has made stagnant all state govt related affairs.
in terms of merit and quality human resorce of bengal is top most in any foeld be it IT,Management,Fiannce,Engg etc.
Despite all the down slide WB is has 3rd highest GDP in India after Maharashtra and UP.
As per PPP just behind Maharashtra,TN,Gujarat.
FDI rankin is also 3rd in india.
All the parameters are are well above indian average, can'tever compare with bihar despite Nitish's monumental success.
If didi comes to power again all lost glories shall be revived as benal has world's best rain power nd bestowed with all natural resources like agriculture, minerals, industrial hinterland etc.
The sheer anti bengal feeling and jealousy is giving some rejoices to some mind but that is temporary, my dear.

Let's stop living in fool's paradise in terms 3rd in FDI and 3rd in PPP. One should see the progress made in Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Gujrat in the last decade, one can see these only when one visits the cities and villages of these state. What industries do we have in Bengal? And have you come across the word "Bengali businessmen or entrepreneur". It is the marwaris and gujratis who are rulling the state, having pocketed the police, adminsitrators and politicians. Bengalis are doing decentlly well outside of Bengal. Does bengal and bengalis (in bengal) have a future? Why are people from the state migrating to other states, taking up menial jobs? Do you see people of western/northern/southern part of India come to take up job in bengal?

Yes it belongs to a bengali who had to go outside bengal (UP) to start his business. What is the presence of Sahara in Bengal? Nothing. That is why I said, Bengalis do well when they go out of bengal, when they get to see what is happening in rest of the country and world, while the bengalis (wit their eyes and ears closed) in Bengal live in their past glory of Tagore and Ray, and think they are the best breed of the world.
