Bharat Ratna is the highest civilian award,This award is given to highest degrees of national service. This service includes artistic, literary, and scientific achievements,as well as "recognition of public service of the highest order.As per my knowledge,Sachin is very cleaver cricketer,He keeps himself safe by playing smart cricket,No dought He has scored many centuries and scored thousands of runs but unfortunatly he rarely wins matches for India,He is a selfish cricketer,There are other cricketers who gives 110% to the match and wins for India but they are ignored.Such award should go to the Right and Deserving personality of India.
its the habit of indians to give lots of awards and money to media hyped cricketers before world cup... and burn their effigies after world cup.. people forget how miserable they lost in a world cup.. now, on what basis he deserved bharat ratna..only media hype.. look at vishy anand.. last year again he won the world championship.... and still we indians ignores our true hero... and worship media created over-hyped cricketers.

he does not desrve the Bharth Ratan for sure,what is the use of being making century after century.Laxman have saved won the matches for INDIA,and saved,i dont remember he won the matches for INDIa

Very well said ,sachin dont deserve Bharth Ratan for sure ,he is highest scorer and as well as centuries, but in my opinion still dont deserve the highest award of the country.Most of the centuries is for himself .

Sachin is JEWEL of Cricket India he has tremendous experience of 1992, 1996, 1999, 2003, 2007 total 5 world cups so he is next to Lord Krishna the best advisor for gr8 Arjun the warrior. So please respect the experience of Sachin
Give Bharat Ratna... first to Vishy Anand, who is world champ in chess which is played in many countries..... and he single handedly inspired chess in India....
