Good to see someone giving Uthappa a chance. He has done reasonably well in Ranji trophy and IPL. Sadly his performance has been overlooked favouring Vijay

Arun Prabhu, After bad decision to bowl first after winning the toss in 5th ODI, Dhoni has resigned as captain. He is not scoring runs also, now a days. So, Parthiv has taken over as WK Batsman

Yes.Once upon a time he played.He just King of Fortune!See the worst performer of indian team in wc is Dhoni only .
Rohit Sharma should be banned from playing any further international cricket. He is a complete waste of talent. I think based on current form, Yuvraj and Raina both should be axed from the world cup squad and other deserving members should be included.

As much as I agree to these comments I still believe it is never late to realize and correct your mistakes. His performance was aweful, probably his career is demolished too - but hey, give the poor guy some sympathy. I think some of these people like Rohit, Raina and (maybe) Yuvi need special one-to-one treatment. However I dont believe this for Dhoni, clearly he is beyond all redemption.

Completely agreed. I think someone like Saurabh Tiwary, Manish Pandey and Ambati Rayudu can be included in this team.

I think the gap between domestic and international is too big for some of these players. There is no reason to believe that since Rohit failed Rayudu or Panda will succeed. I could hardly believe M Vijay failing that badly on the international scene. The problem is mental than technique. I think with proper nurturing and hard work they will improve. Looking at their domestic performance these guys are packaged and sent to international straight away. Someone like Ganguly needs to be there to work with them perhaps.

Who are the other deserving members for batting? Dhoni's batting is poorer than Raina's and Dhoni's decision as Captain to bowl first was absolutely bad and cost the Series. Tell the Selectors to throw him out of world cup captaincy unless he volunteers to RESIGN.

You are right yaar! He's frustrating. How can someone like him (still say he's the best technique in domestic cricket) be such a failure. First, he lacks of discipline and determination. Second, I think serial killer is also right about "money getting into his head." yeah! Complete waste of talent he really is!

Yusuf's inning came after Team India had already lost the match. The South Africans did a good bowling practice after that, particularly their spinners and part time bowlers.
The got Yusuf out when they wanted.But in the whole practice they learned Yusuf's game as well and this video will be watched by many teams preparing for world cup.

In the Asian conditions, India doesn't depend on Yusuf alone. Remember we didn't have Viru, Gambi, Sachin etc. Any one or two could fire at any point of time. Also, hard hitters like Viru, Yusuf have no specific approach and so are not predictable. So no worry there. The worry would be the bowling department. Zaheer needs to be fit at any cost. Munaf has emerged as the 2nd best. Who will fill the other 3 slots will be the key question for the WC.

The worry is Dhoni's captaincy with the stupid decision to Bowl first after winning toss and unintelligent field placings in m9iddle overs and allowing opposition to score plenty of singles. Change the Captain before World Cup.

He did it twice recently one against NZ at home almost single handedly and another against SA. But asking this one was too much still he went much nearer.

But you require these types of player too in your team for which bowler cannot decide what type of shots he will play. With him you require a bit of luck and thats it rest leave it upto him. He can create a history not once but multiple time. He got a great power in his bat.

Good series and nice mix of bowling by Indians. Dhoni should improvise on this series mistakes. He is a good captain; if he is not the captain so who will do the job. We will have to call Ganguly for captaincy. Bravo Dhoni nice series 2 best teams sorting the close call.

People like Dhoni, Yuvraj and Raina are highly over rated (IPL is also responsible). Dhoni is lucky that people like Yusuf Pathan are saving him blushes.If India does not win world cup these gentlemen should be axed. Gambhir would be right choice for captaincy and Saurabh Tiwari. Parthiv Patel and Uttappa should take the places of the afore mentioned players.
The type of wickets in SA does not allow high scoring ODIs. The key to victory was to preserve your wickets. In this context the Indian test side would have won us the ODI series !
