If India keeps playing like this..
by Sarfarush Khan on Jan 19, 2011 01:37 PM

If India keeps playing like the why they did last night despite being under pressure, they can sure win this world cup. If this Indian team fails winning the world cup this time around, then forget about getting your hands on this prestigious title for next two decades. Even without playing their three key players, India seems complete team.

Pakistan

Chokers find a reason
by S Shrikanth on Jan 19, 2011 01:29 PM  | Hide replies

SA is the No. 1 Choker. Smith knows that very well. So, he is finding Pathan as excuse.

Yusuf Pathan is the most unreliable batsman, and barring a few innings he has been a big flop in most the innings.

He used to be like that before, but has matured a lot over the past few months. He doesn't throw his bat at everything now. Might be his approach in IPL made him irresponsible during the initial stages of his career.

Thank God No Rohith Sharma for WC
by Sudarshan S on Jan 19, 2011 01:27 PM

He has again proven that no mattter where you send him, even after playing so many ODIs, he is a V.Poor batsman with an avg of 27 inspite of centuries agsinst minnows zimb. He is good only for IPL 20-20. Doesnt even deserve to bein the Indian 20-20. Did you guys see how he was struggling in the middle. He made no adjustments whatsoever for the slow pitch. . Time and again I have watched his innings and this batsman gives me no confidence during his stay at the wicket. His footwork is lacking and he gets entangled around his legs. What talent have people seen of this guy, can someone highlight that please? Guys who missed out on watching please read cricinfo commentary on his batting and his struggles in the middle. NO shot was convincing. The two boundaries he hit were of bad balls strying on the pads. Look at Kohli instead. He has his flaws but he looked more assured. Very compact in defence and confidefnt in his shot making. But Kohli has to cut down his agression a bit if he wants to be a stable no 3 batsman. But Rohith Sharma is waste, period. How can people compare these guys. I don’t like it when people group them saying youngsters like kohli, and rohith and Rohith always gets away with his appaling batting and given chances after chances. ANother point on Vijay though is in ODI he is not a fit but he has done well in test cricket to take away the new ball shine which is also imp atleast if not scoring runs.

Useless Dhoni is primarily responsible for ignoring Pathan. Despite bowling 4 good overs, Dhoni sidelined him in yesterday's match. Nice to see Dhoni's failure and Pathan's success

He will be very useful on Indian wickets as a part time spinner and explosive batsman. He should be a floater in th team able to bat from 5-7

this means Indians are secular

Unlike pakistan where minorities are
treated as third grade...

Indians are surely much level headed than Pakis

This is for those who live in india and support Pakistan..

Dinnash Kenneria is Hindu player but he is out now due to ICC objection oh him being involved in match-fixing. Pakistan team's too had many players from minority . we don't select players on religious background.

he got enough chances in Indian team. He was playing well.. But to keep the form, you have to work even harder. But wasted many opportunities and forgot the competition around. He lost his concentration from cricket once he become fame and rich.

Now he is bowling at 110-120kh/hr. and all batsmen started punishing him. He should work hard and show his ability in the domestic matches to make a come back in the indian team.

Dhoni- an excellent captain
by Vikas Banga on Jan 19, 2011 12:58 PM  | Hide replies

With luck you can win only 1 or 2 series. But dhoni is winning for quite some time now. Ok he has a great team. But in 2007 world cup even Rahul Dravid also had similar team. But he was not able to succeed.

So I would say Dhoni is an excellant captain
