If Shane Watson is also out, Australia may as well say goodbye to the World Cup without playing.

True... with their bowling attack, their chase will be over in mostly 25 over mark itself... :)

While I agree that AUS wouldn't win it because their team is in shambles, what gives you the confidence that MSD's men will win it? Indian Team is known for inconsistency. Did we expect to lost to SL and AUS when we were doing well? NO. So nothing is predictable with the Indians. Keep your fingers crossed.

1st Round exit for Australia!
by sandeep kumar on Jan 19, 2011 03:00 PM  | Hide replies

Most of their new comers will no even be able to get into a decent Ranji team..As we saw in the ashes. (3 innings defeats in a series against a mediocre english team..lol). Nice to see the arrogant aussies, famous for sledging and winning matches pressurising the umpires, hit rock bottom. Their captain is past it, and others are overrated. I cant imagine the carnage when someone like hauritz bowls to pathan in the powerplays.

Sandeep Kumar:

Good to know that you've started the business of Test Matches World Cup... ;-)

But ICC is still continuing with the one day version unfortunately in which the Ranji team easily defeated your Champion England team in the first match... :)

never ever under estimate Ausies .. now see they bounced back in ODI series against Eng. Still I see ausies as one of the fav's for this world cup.

Dude, Sorry. The current english team is one of the best they have had for a long, long time. They are not mediocre. They excel in every field, Pace, Spin, Batting and Fielding. After SA, they are one of the best teams around.

Mr. Cricket-He is the one who was winning or drawing all the matches for Australia. If he is not there, Australia has no chance in WC

True... his triple century in the first ODI against England was instrumental in the Aussie massacre of the hyped English... :)
