U are right, he is a cricket legend much respected and a man who has a fondness for India and Indian cricket.
Top of it he is popular in India and has a huge fan base. His comments are insightful without malice and he means good for India.

Totally agree with you all. He is only Pakistani player, who can be respected for his sportsmenship, passion for the game and sincerity. A very rare Pakistani.

Dont be so harsh on him. Wasim is a cricket legend and a man who has genuine fondness for India and Indian cricket. These days he is more involved in Indian cricket, as a consultant for a Delhi cricket academy and then as a coach for KKR. He has helped many a Indian cricketers like Zaheer, Irfan, Sreesanth, Ishant, etc and has been instrumental in making them better bowlers.
U must know that he has respect for India more so ever since his wife died on Indian soil despite the best efforts of Indian doctors.

Whether it may or may not happen, the fact is he is a nice person well behaved and dignified unlike somePaki cricketers.
He definitely has genuine affection for India and Indian cricket. All the current Indian quick bowlers will vouch for this

Right, he is not involved even 1% in his nation's cricket. Except for giving some comments and some tips to their bowlers he has no connection with Pak cricket
Yupe rohit sharma shud have been in team instead Ashwin, abt piyush chawla i never saw his effective bowling in any kind of conditions till date. P.Ojha or A.Mishra wud have been better choice... they shud have taken R.uthapppa also as backup keeper for dhoni.
THE FACT THAT WE INDIANS KEEP N INVITING THE PAKISTANIS FOR CONSULTATIONS, ADVERTISEMENTS, MUSIC SHOWS ETC.. THE PAKISTANIS HV BCOM AWARE OF OUR MINDSET.
THEY KNOW THAT THE INDIANS R STUPID PEOPLE WHO WON'T LEARN FROM THEIR MISTAKES. SO THEY R & WILL KEEP COMING TO INDIA.
UNLESS WE CHANGE OUR MINDSET & STOP INVITING THE ENEMY THEY WILL TAKE OUR ADVANTAGE.
WAS THIS THE SAME AKRAM WHO USED TO ABUSE OUR PLAYERS ON THE FIELD. IN THE 80S & 90S INDIAN TEAM MUST HAVE HAD GOOSEBUMPS TO PLAY AT SHARJAH.
SIMILARLY IN THE 70'S F NT MISTAKEN THE HOTELS IN PAKISTAN DECLINED TO ACCOMODATE THE INDIAN CRICKET TEAM DUE THE THE 1971 WAR AND THE PAKISTAN PARTITION.
SUCH S THE ATTITUDE OF PAKISTANIS. I FEEL PITY N OUR OWN MINDSET THAT DON'T WE FIND ANY CELEBRITIES IN OUR COUNTRY TO WORK IN THE ADDS OR SHOWS.

hello akram is gentalman. he fought cricket hard.. but off the field he was gentalman. see replay of wc 2003 ind-pak match. at end of match he was first to shake hands with smile.

Nothing to guess. He values cricket hence India. Offlate, in Pakistan cricket is only betting business, so gentleman keep themselves away.

Morover Akram s most respected & is d rolemodel fr most of d left arm pace bowlers in India....he has even offered training to Indian pace bowlers nd hs supported sm bowlers n terms of technique & reverse swing bowling !!
He hasnt made a bad opinion !! its d respect he commands, tat brings him 2 headline & not d contents !!
A very good team has been selected One or 2 places can always be argued but it is a good team. If one pacer gets injured we have an extra pacer and we can always call for a replacement.If Dhoni has to miss a few matches probably Kohli or Raina can keep.
