Sreesanth and a spare wicket keeper should be in instead of Ashwin and Piyush. If Dhoni or Zaheer are injured there are nno substitutes. Wheras if any of the spinners are injured Yuvaraj, Sewag , Sachin or even Raina can bowl. What is the point in trying someone like Ashwin without a proven track record for a mega event like the world cup ? The saying that common sense is a rare commodity is once again proved.

IN A WAY ITS TRUE WHAT U SAY. BUT SHLD V ONLY BANK N EXPERIENCE AND WHAT'S GUARANTEE WE WL PFORM WELL. ALWAYS NO NEED TO BANK N EXPERIENCE.
LOOK AT PAKISTAN. ITS A CLEAR DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INDIA AND PAKISTAN. F THEY FIND A SPECIAL TALENT THEY STRAIGHTAWAY THROUGH THEM AT THE INTL. LEVEL RATHER THAN MAKE THEM PLAY DOMESTIC 4 A LONG TIME.

SREESANTH HAS GOT THE PACE AND LIFTS THE TEAM WITH HIS ENERGY. HE HAS THE KILLER INSTINCT BUT ALSO IS BOUNT TO GO 4 RUNS. BUT ATLEAST WE COULD HAVE HAD A BOWLER WITH THESE QUALITIES.
INDIA WON'T REACH THE SEMIS. NO CHANCE. NOT BCOZ OF THIS SELECTION BUT THE TEAM S RIDDLED WITH INJURIES AND ITS NOT 100% FIT.

NO ASTROLOGY S REQUIRED. COMPARED TO 2003 WORLD CUP WHICH WAS THE FITTEST THIS IS ALREADY JADED WITH SO MANY MATCHES BEING PLAYED AND CONSTANT TRAVELLING.
They have picked good team no ques about that but some hippis are saying rohit or shreesant shoud be in the team that is absolutly foolish,
Rohit the lazyman have had enough chances still not prove his worth how many more chances he need,so we can not take any risk with this guy at world cup level atleast. Sheeshant had the 50-50 chance but he is most relies only on swings and in india he may be the burdone on the team so it is better to leave him.
Selecting Indian Cricket team is like running a coalition Government. There are too many odds to balance. Like people come in the end for the coalition Government, cricket comes at the end for the Selection Committee. Any team selected for any reason bound to bring some emotions and this time is no different from history. The batting part of the team seems to be more stronger and well deserving than the bowling department. Though ignoring second keeper and dropping Rohit cannot be considered as great decisions. Selection in the bowling department reflects the strategy to win on batting strength because we have a guarantee of 25 good overs only among Zaheer, Bhajji and Praveen. Nehra and Munaf surely are not of the world cup level and not sure how to rate Piyush because he has not played off late at highest level.
