sachin take rest-give way for other players-Meaningless records
by raja gopal on Jan 17, 2011 02:06 PM  | Hide replies

Sachin take rest and watch World Cup from home,Its enough. We have not seen a world cup from you and have seen only heap of records in your name.India needs world Cup and not records.

If u play in world cup .Play properly and play for country and not for records.

There is no record stating that Sachin played to win the World Cup.Hope this time can it be acheived?

Jai Hind

Lolers.. for all people who are saying he is playing for records and selfish...
lemme tell you some basics of cricket first. cricket is a team game. A team should bowl well, bat well, field well to win a series .A batsman can win one, two or few matches in a series but not all the matches for the obvious reasons.

If he is playing for records, howcome he was the man of the series in 2003 world cup.His average in world cup is 58 .
WHAT RECORD HE HAS BEEN TRYING TO ESTABLISH SINCE 3 WORLD CUPS?? ANSWER IS WORLD CUP TO INDIA.
he wants to bring world cup to India and u people still blame him.

you never blame the remaining 10 members who dont contribute.

Raja Gopal:

Nice plan of yours. To get world cup without scoring runs and by not taking ANY wickets.
You will do that by buying good guns and raiding the trophy presentation, I suppose?
;-)

sachin
by Len Hutton on Jan 17, 2011 11:36 AM

is not the same as 5 years ago, now if you block his shots in circle and now a days he play more chiky shots and try to nudge the ball here and there. and if you block his shots, then because of injury or age it become very difficult for him to lift the ball or play powerful strokes. but still his experience helps him to find gaps.GM to all comrades

Injuries, Responsibility and Money

I am not a huge fan of Dhoni. But then, I like his attitude in backing youngsters ahead of some cowards. Look at Murli Vijay or Pujara. Both score very high runs and win the test against Australia- the next test both are dropped? Why? Why???
Why can't Gambhir or Sachin take rest and these youngsters to have some momentum. Look at the last series against NZ in India- none of the big wigs were 'injured'.
If the World Cup gets tough (unlikely) but if, then you will see some drop outs. Again, in a matter of few days, once the IPL-4 begins, no one will be injured.
These big stars get about Rs. 2 lakhs each for each ball faced in IPL-4. After all, who gets paid so much more than Rs. 2 lakhs for each ball faced against some minnow useless bowler in a flat pitch?
