If so, then Bill Lawry shud start explaining how a tournament in Kerala - the Pooja Cricket Tournament - just celebrated its 60th year.

ICC has already accepted that Pooja Cricket Tournament, which was started by Shri. Kerala Varma (Kelappan) Thampuran and was organized by the then Princes Club is the world's first limited overs tournament.

Shri. Kelappan Thampuran came up with the idea of a 50-over-limited cricket tournament, without no restrictions for bowlers, which was implemented in the inaugural edition of the Pooja cricket tournament in 1951.

It was named Pooja tournament as it was during the Navaratri festival time.

I am not surprised as even most Indians credit one-day matches to foreigners and do not want to accept that it started in our country.

Any skeptics can google Pooja Cricket Tournament and chk it out.

Good thing is we can have a full cricket grounds for children. Not like India In one ground we have to acomodate 10 matches at the same time.
