INDIA IS NOT WORTHY OF THE WORLD CUP
by harilal k on Jan 14, 2011 11:07 AM  | Hide replies

India is not a consistent performer. By this virtue alone, it is not at all worthy of lifting the World Cup.

Surprise Package
by Brijesh Borse on Jan 14, 2011 10:50 AM

As per WC Hostory, ENGLAND & NEW ZEALAND have alway.s been the Surprise packages many times. Being considered UNDERDOGS..they shocked entire world by reaching Semis / Finals. Remember England in 87 / 92... New Zealand in 1992 / 1999

World Cup 2011

England lost 5-0 the last time they played against India. Forget current form, in these conditions they are an average side. Almost equal to New Zealand.
I think the four semi finalists will be :
India, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Australia/Pakistan. The conditions will favor sub continent teams with their spin and good batsmen.
After that, take your pick. Whoever plays well on that day or has luck will take the cup.

rightly said, but we cannot just talk about semies directly keeping the current form, in that case, India is doing very poorly when it comes to consistancy, which is a key to win the world cup. So, let's enjoy every match than just waitng for the semies!
