that's their part of pay/incentive and people like Warne and Symonds will not play IPL without them. After hard HOUR work of 2 overs of bowling or playing 20 balls, their body needs massage.

dude ...for people like u .....narrow thinking ... they ask those questions...they think like u ...
Very silly question to ask. Not every match in IPL will be exciting. How would IPL authorities pull the crowd despite having heavily priced tickets? Why would spectators take that risk, by adding cheerleaders there would be some kind of paisa vasool.
IPL clearly is a commercial activity where the mechanism sells entertainment and some of the potential profit is shared with players.
Going in the same lines of this question by Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance, why should there be day and night matches? Why should players play in coloured cloths?
Definitely cheerleeders are the frills, but then they add to the festive atmosphere. There would be some people who would question the costumes they wear, I accord with them there is no space for obsenity in sport. Sport can breach its line into entertainment but not into obsenity, and if IPL wants to persist, they should not allow children into stadia and give away rights to broadcasting the matches live.

I dont know what tax you are talking about.
Are we paying taxes for what Aishwarya Rai charges for movies?
None of us is forced to watch IPL. We have to deal with a business only in profit/loss terms. People who feel it is their moneys worth will watch/follow this.

they themselves are cheer everything from corruption to looting and what not. Probably they want to have a cake of the cheer girls and a grand gala time.
.. are to the IPL matches what song and dance sequence or item songs are to a Bollywood movie. Both are needed to make the matches/movies more palatable. They are like the garnish on a well presented dish or the silver foil on mouthwatering mithai. What is wrong with a handful of PYTs bouncing around in intervals cheering their teams.
I have a suggestion. Cheergirls should play cricket. cricket players should dance. That would mean full crowds! Jokes apart,IPL is nothing but a slave trade of cricket players where a lot of black money is turned into white money. Huge IT violations must be going on,while we the honest indian middle class pays to watch these players play useless cricket and become rich at our expense. THe agriculture minister is not worried about onion prices because he is busy with IPL and all that bakwaas! Modi is not the only one who has minted money. He is the tip of the iceberg.
