Prusty . How many cricketers from Bengal have those Ba**trds allowed. Sunil is now licking ass of Bengal CAB for his son Rohan yet he was the guy who did not open with Dilip Doshi just because he was from bengal

I am true lover of Indian cricket and this happening before world cup 2011 is a bad omen for India for their quest for 2011 WC..This will help our enemies
First 3 seasons of IPL were kind of branding and building up the tournament. So star players were must to be included. But as Seasons will progress, only talent will be prime factor for the player selection. DADA was unfortunate to be first amongst those dismissed and shocking but going forward we will see more such exclusions of stars of yesterday as IPL casts in to a game of competents and skilled players. We all should accept this as fact and be proud of all teams and player irrespective of region/state as this is INDIAN extravaganza!!

by S Narain (View MyPage) on Jan 12, 2011 02:50 PM In 1992 they conspired ...he came back with bang in 1996
In 2005 they conspired with help of Greg Chappel Dada came back..2007 WC was a big failure
In 2009 ,he was removed as Captain of KKR...KKR finished at bottom
In 2010 another conspiracy....let us see((every time he has hit back)
It was we the Kolkata Cricket fans who suported KKR for last 3 seasons. We are they who goes to Eden Garden in large Number ( Nearly 1 lac) to support KKR. No Match of KKR held with a empty stadium though they have not been qualified for Semis. All this is Only & Only for Saurabh Ganguly Neither to see SRK or Whatmore. It is clear that the team having Australian coach will not take DADA in their team. So the conclusion is The Australians came to our country , to play Indian Premier League & Humilated the best ever Indian Captain.A True Indian will not allow this. Guys see the 2010 IPL score sheet u will understand that performance is not the reason.

if he can play this commercial event successfully.... then why he has beeen booted out from national team dis-graciously..... he is not there in slow version of game... think..... like a fool he left just because there was media hype.... he had cricket left in him..... he should have stuck....
Sourav Ganguly is a player and an icon for Indian Cricket but T20 game is all about hard hitting. We should not expect him to continue forever, entire West Bengal fall in emotional zone of India where sentiment always given due priority than performance. One should not forget that our DADA has doubled his base price for auction even anticipated that KKR doesn't want him anylonger and spoken secretly with another IPL Team. Sourav is a good for certain section of player but not favourable for everybody. A leader should have to be favourite for all not only for SRK. When it has come to the point of business, Sourav was left aside. Yet Sourav is Sourav and will be known as most agressive Indian Cricket Captain forever. No regrets faults are at both sides.

Agreed 100%! This snub cannot be repaired. Even if he is included in any team now, it will be considered as charity. If Ganguly has any self respect, he should consider IPL as a closed option.

He is the one who has invested money in SRK and along with his partners, has the full right to decide who is in his team and who is not. KKR is not run by public money or with tax payers money! So, what SRK does with his money is his business, whether or not he has cricketing sense or not does not matter.

Yes he can.SRK is a egoistic.Had he any business sense he would have done. Here the point is respect. You could see in the past SRK did not give due respect to his seniors actors of bollywood. He is a arogant B.

Cricket is an sentimental game.If no sentiment can not bring proud.Businessmen are here with their brand.Let's see who gets the brand value.Offcourse not SRK.

You have to learn to separate sentiments from business! Many successful businessmen are arrogant individuals, but as long as their business runs successfully, these things don't count.
Bengalis should understand that T20 cricket is a very fast game mainly meant for youngsters.( players like Sachin, Shane Warne, Murlidharan are God-gifted players but still they practise hard for 5 hours every day and hence can adjust their game to any type of cricket. So they are still selected by the franchises) Dada is already retired. I think he must be having an attitude problem, otherwise why should Kolkatta Knight Riders not select him ? And some time or other everybody has to go ! Once Sachin stops performing he will also have to go ! Actually when Shane Warne or Murlidharan retired, they were on Top and could have easily played for 3 to 4 years more ! The franchises see all this and then only select them. Why Lara was not selected ? Franchises doubt about his fitness and same old ability to bat ... that's all ! So Bengalis don't be emotional.

I am not Bengali but still I beleive there is consipracy against Dada for not being selected in any of team. He is the best and I think bcos of what unknown stupid movies of IPL teams, they are losing a good player. Dada is not a loser, IPL teams are loser.

Poor chap! You are comparing a profit making entity with a word coined to describe the film industry. KKR has owners and management. Bollywood is just a word.

Mr. Datar, please Shane Warne and Murlidaran were well past their prime when they retired!! Infact more than Warne, Murlidaran was practically propped up on crutches to claim his 800 wickets. Playing a 42yr old man just because the magic figure of 800 had to be reached. Look at Jayasuriya, SL still refuses to let go of him, same age as Murlidaran, so everyone including every nation is emotional about their star player, that is human psychology. We did the same to Kapil Dev, when he was forced to retire after hitting 434 breaking Hadlee's record. WI did the same for Lara, so was Steven Waugh done by Australians whom we know to be ruthless professionals. Look at Ponting now, it is high time he should have gone 1yr back, but ACB is still backing him as captain. I don't see it unfair as well, after all the magnificient indivizual contributions to the game they definitely deserve to be carried piggy back for sometime towards their end and then be given a glorious and befitting farewell.
