Kolkattans should boycott all KKR matches! Dumbo Shah Rukh and his blunt management stabbed the only positive-minded player India has produced after Kapil Dev from the back. In spite of my being Kolkattan, I will never wish for them! I would suggest to omit 'Kolkata' from Kolkata Knight Riders' and go back to elsewhere!

Relax, KKR has got the best team this year of all the IPLs they played. Real Kolkatta fan should be happy about that rather than creating an issue over Ganguly.
Ganguly had retired and there is no guarantee he will score well this year. Ganguly could not take KKR to semi finals even once in the prior 3 IPLs.

Ponting did not play one full season. McCullum was never consistent for New Zealand. So was Chris Gayle. They both play according to their mood. Shoaib in the years 2007, 2008, 2009 is miserable and is not even in the Pakistan squad regularly. Hussey, you are talking about David Hussey. Michael Hussey would have been a different story. Gul is not a world class bolwer; he is good but not great. Butt is a spot fixer.
Coming to Ganguly, he may have scored well. His strike rate was not that great and could not finish matches for KKR.
Take my word, KKR will have the best result this year of all the IPL they played so far.

Gayle was excluded too and a bigger surprise than Ganguly. KKR management discarded all weak and non performers.
Gambhir, Yousuf Pathan, Kallis, Brett Lee are great inclusions.

Bcoz Ganguly's game is over now... Try to understand. KKR perform so bad previously, this time it looks better team. So wish for KKR and Ganguly is not the property of Kolkata.

Ganguly was ignred just for his attitude problem. He doesnot realiz ethat he cant be the Dada in every team and in each format ofcricket. T20 is to fast for him and he is not fit to captain KKR. As such - because of his attitude, he cant gel along with other senior members who can be captains.

Its is very strange to put to hear that people of kolkata give more priority to ganguly than kolkata. Grow up guys.... If u have so much problems then why dont u all start collecting money and give 1.84 cr to kkr management to buy ganguly. Ideally after all this ganguly should retire from cricket , he has earned enough money..... Grow up people of kolkata,,, support your city and not a single player... remember... kolkata made ganguly and ganguly didnt make kolkata

all of your every analysis is correct. but how can kolkattans digest a player being not considered even he was the top scorer in KKR last year??!! moreso, he was the fifth highest run getter among numerous so-called better than him batsmen played!!
First, when we had 8 teams in IPL after a round robin of home and away for each team we still couldnt decide who is best and went for semis and final!!. This it self is ridiculous. A topper, like in EPL is worthy winner in a round robin format, that too with each team facing other twice. Now for IPL-4, they should have simply divided the team in to 2 groups, play home and away and then had semis and final. The grouping could have been done based on last years performance and 2 new teams goin to each group. or there could have been a drwa to decide the group. Unfortunately that is not to be. We are good at creating confusion and then spend time in solving it.

This time format is better there is no semi-final; First four teams compete for final; Team standing one and two have double chance of getting into final whereas team standing three and four have to prove one more time that they are better than one and two to get into final

Dividing 10 teams into two groups and making them play twice against each team twice results in 8 games to each team.
Instead, it is better to have them play only once against all teams once, which results in 9 games to each team.
With the format as it stands ow, teams that get to play twice against RR, RCB, KXIP have got good chances of making to semi finals as I think these three teams have relatively weak teams.
IPL-3 attracted lot of National interst but for all the wrong reasons. The Electronic Media which exposed the murky Financial affairs IPL and relentlessly coverd the host of Violations of Law including the FEMA indulged by some franchasises of IPL-3 are all back in IPL-4 with nobody knowing what IT and ED has done with IPL-3 FEMA and CLP laws violations.Now the same Media being payed heavly by the IPL-4 franchises are covering the Auction process with much fanfare only to show their weakness for big Money event.So the lesson is, the Electronic Media expose are not to be taken at its face value other than sensational purpose as they are not seriuos about cleanising the system by their recent conduct in IPL-4
Now if this type of Crony Capitalism continues due to absence of Administrative, Judicial and Police Reforms more IPL, CWG, 2G and Land scams are bound to flourish, which would only fuel social unrest, leading to Abduction of Players with high value bidding for ransome from their Franchise owners.
Some teams may face tougher opponents twice while weaker opponents only once.
It should be either play once or twice. Not like this. Why not just have play only once against each team, 9 games for each franchise and the top four go to semi-finals, or top eight play quater finals.
Govt. should ban IPL Immediately. Why we need IPL ? all matches are set .We are mad ,I donn't know why we are watchinh all fixed matches and wasting our time.
