I think he raised his base price by 100% and that was the problem. Had he not done that, some franchices would have shown interest in taking him, taking up his price naturally as part of the process. Knowing SRK, he should not have increased the base price and expect SRK to take him.

dude its buisness, mallya is busy earning money, why can't we bangalorens keep our self buys earning our money and that keeping emotions with money minded and money obsessed people
If I am the franchise,I would hv picked up Dada for CSK.We chennaites love him.Its very sad that our previous aggressive captain failed to make this time.Anyway,Dada dont worry.Pl involve yourself in IPL in other depts. You can be a coach for KKR/any other team and give your valuable inputs. It is needless to say that u are the mentor for so many in the country. We will never miss u.

Kumble was sitting next to him and guiding them in bidding players! You should understand that this was the auction for international players and Indian capped players. They will take uncapped players outside the auction! So in final team there will be local players.
During auction also, teams could have lined up cheer girls.. Whenever a particular team wins a bid on a player, the cheer girls for that team could have danced for few mins before moving on with the next bid. This way, they could have had auction for 3-4 days, more commercials, more money, and more TRP
If we can show at least 10% of the interest we show in cricket to how our politicians oerfirm, we will have vastly better Governance; we don't care, particularly the educated middle class and hence we deserve what we have got.
vijay mallya's comment that IPL 20/20 is young man's game is totally rubbish. i wonder whether he have any knowledge of functioning of cricket and its format except money making. IPL is a fast and compressed game format of one day cricket with anyone who can adjust to the pace of the game according to present form on a given day irrespective of age is FIT like kallis, sachin, shewag etc.
In fact, Ganguly performed better than almost all in KKR; did better than many others. Though, I am not a huge fan of Ganguly, it is sad that he is not in IPL-4, especially since he did perform. The following did not perform that well in IPL still got big money!!! Uthappa, Gambhir and Yuvraj(IPL-3), M Tewary. The only reason I could think of is Ganguly jelling well with the captain/ team. In any case, huge disappointment for the Bengal fans

It is because of his 'attitude' India is no 1 today. He had a vision for Team India along with the stewardship of Sachin, Dravid and Kumble. In fact, he is the best thing that happen to Indian cricket period. He was the mentor and 'creator' of Shewag, Yuvraj, Dhoni, Zaheer, Ashish Nehra, Harbhajan, and many others who are the core of Indian team today. The fact is that Australians can not tolerate him because he gave their own pill to shut those terrible mouths up (read telegraph as to why he is not picked for any team and you will find the non-creicketing no sense reason. Every Tom, Dick and Harry are spreading venom and making wrong statement of Ganguly who are not even worth the shits in their own life...
