The whole IPL4 auction seems comedy and tragedy for entire auction..guys like mallaya have forgetten one thing That Manish pandey and robin uthappa are playing for karnatatka?
With Players like Tendulkar, Ganguly, Dravid, Kumble I am like emotionally attached to them. They are/were the thorough gentlemen of the game and have made us and country proud on several occassions. With Franchise not opting for Ganguly is not only an inslut to him but and insult to all hi fans and to an extent India too? Hasn't he made India proud?
Everyone know JAdeja is pathetic he is paid 4 crores, Rohit Sharma so inconsitent 9 crores. Uthappa 9.6 crores ..common man ...these guys are no where close to a legend like Gangully..Is this cricket or is this Business. This year it was Gangully, next year it will be Dravid,,and then Tendulkar,,,,and these Businessmen will humiliate the legends of Indian Cricket..Someone has to stop this..Stop IPL

I see that most of the people here are unhappy with IPL recent scams in IPL...common guys ain't we being fooled? RR and Punjab were not suppose to play in it...now they are in the auction so why this drama for whole 1 year? Everyone is talking to boycott IPL...but we will be the one's who will switch on the TV when IL starts

Yes u are true, ipl is nothing but a money minting business... remember the lalit modi controversy. Uthappa, irfan pathan, rohit sharma have all terribly flopped but look at the price they have been bought for - 8,9,10 crores !!!
The IPL is one of the idiots gathering. They are paying crores of rupees for useless players. If you give me 1 Cr. I will play better than those useless players. This can happen only in India.

As they couldn't bid for Paki players, they chose their brothers.
Now crores are nothing!Money has no value! It is the middle class in India that are suffering.Onions at 75Rs/kg! The rich businesses and the politicians in India have come together and formed a mafia.Everybody is looting! The biggest money scams in the world happen in INDIA ,the CWG games, 2G scam. Why is Saina Nehwal and Sushil Kumar not given these obscene amounts of money? Their achivements are far greater than these cricketers whose game is played in only 11 countries

Wake up Grandpa. IPLs gonna rock. The money being splurged is nthat of a new aggresive India, confident of its place and an emerging superpower. And the money made by the bidders is not like how our corrupt politicans hoard. Its done by business acumen and hard work. Looking forward to support my beloved RCB
The auction of players during Day-1 showed how skewed it can get depending on what stage of the auction a player is brought up. Had Gambhir and Pathan been up for sale by the end of the day, they wouldn't have sold for as much. Too many players were overvalued or undervalued. Seems the addition of two more teams led to some panic buying in initial stages of the auction, which benefited players like Gambhir, Pathan brothers, and Uthappa in particular. Team owners were more prudent and rational post-lunch though. While Lara and Ganguly not being bought is hardly surprising, Chris Gayle being ignored is a big surprise, as he's better value for money than Gambhir and Yusuf. Let's see how many players live up to their billing when IPL-4 starts.

True..considering all these panic buying by others, CSK looks very clear and prudent. They clearly set their targets and grabbed them at will(except Murali!!)..even the not that great player like Badri was bought for a good amount by the team..not surprising why this team bonds well and plays like a unit!!

They will all be quite exhausted (or carrying injuries) after the World Cup anyway
