Will be lucky if we survive...

India will be very lucky to save the match. There is no chance of winning because the only one capable of giving India a chance SEHWAG is out of form. The rest cannot stand up to STEYN. Tendulkar who played a good knock in the first innings may not fire when required. It is only a matter of time and runs - how many we score before folding up. STEYN is too good for us unlike our star bowlers who were totally ineffective except Harbhajan. When you watch the SA bowlers bowl, you feel pitch is offering great assistance, but when our bowlers hit the deck, you feel it is flat..

Ishant what a Player. Hats Off to him
by Amit Sharma on Jan 06, 2011 11:03 AM  | Hide replies

Somehow Indian bowlers(Zaheer and Sreeshant) looked so flat. Don’t know whether Zaheer was fit or not but it seemed he is not interested in taking wickets.
Ishant Sharma, well, what to say. I don’t know whose backing he has. He is passenger in the team. He doesn’t know how to field, batting one bouncer is enough for him. Bowling, that guy doesn’t have any skill, he used to have some pace now even that is gone. He only knows one type of ball, short and wide (of either off stump or wide of Leg stump). Kick him out and bring anybody like Munaf or Praveen kumar. These guys will at least will bowl on one side of wicket with decent length.

The famed South African seamers Steyn and Morkel and to some extent the newcomer Tsotsobe also failed to win in 90 overs on the 5th day on a flat track except for the odd balls that bounced, like the one Dravid got out. Indian batsmen Gambhir, Sehwag and Dravid really batted well to deny South Africa the win they bragged so much they would get. Had Kallis also bowled it could have been a different story altogether. SA missed Kallis real bad as the 4th seamer. It was a match either team could have won but both teams played not to lose right from start and the result was a dreary draw.

Ishant should get time out of combing his lengthier hairs, when he will find time for bowling practice?
all bowlers are waste.Indian team is best only because of batting since long time.bowling gets some times better but not consistent.

No chance for a win. Either loss (60%) or draw (40%).

This pitch is the true test of skillls?
by greatHindu on Jan 06, 2011 10:57 AM  | Hide replies

I think here onlu those batsman have succced those who have great techniqe, tempament, determination, I do,t think Sehwag, have good teckniqe to face this genuine pitch and great bowling, I am 100% sure we see another failure of him, see what happen to Raina, he even not able to play a single delivery properly.althougt they are the master where pith is flat and there is no movement or either weak bowling.

Agree with that. If he fails again, he should retire. If he succeeds and saves India, again he should retire on a high.

He did his part in the first innings, right? Don't be critical for the sake of being critical.

63 Warner Park, west indies

Sehwag one knock only
65 Warner Park, west indies

Sachin one knock only
119* England Manchester

Dravid five knocks
103* New Zealand Hamilton
87 vs South Africa other important knock

Dhoni one knock only
